Am I the only one who hits the "Save" button all the time?
So at the bottom of the page when you create a post are three boxes - Save, Preview, and Submit. I'm always hitting "Save" when I want to hit Submit and I finally realized why: because every other forum software I see has the equivalent of Submit on the left, not on the right.
And besides that, who actually ever saves a post anyway?
I'm sure there is nothing to be done about it, but it's just annoying.

I save occasionally. Either because I'm in the middle of a long monologue and something urgent comes up or because I'm not sure a post is wise at that moment so I save it for later review.
I consider it kind of like a clipboard, it's not a feature I use that much or really think is that important.

We could disable it for the registered users profile -- would anyone miss it? Not sure what the consensus is on it, but from what I've seen I really only see people who hate it comment.
No.

I hit save instead of submit and I also PM instead of quote. But I'm sloppy.

Like LawBeef, I take advantage of the save feature.

Please save the save feature!

I'm not opposed to having a "Save" feature, I just with there was a way for me to either disable it or if the software allowed an alternate placement of the buttons to more closely match what seems to normal in other forum board software.

I've never used it, but it seems handy. And Submit is in bold so that gives some separation for those of us who can actually read that Submit is spelled differently than Save.

There's a save button?
I saw a commercial on late night TV. It said, "Forget everything you know about slipcovers." So I did. And it was a load off my mind. Then the commercial tried to sell me slipcovers, and I didn't know what the hell they were. -- Mitch Hedberg

Get off prosilver, the button arrangement is different for the other two skins.Sarkus wrote:I'm not opposed to having a "Save" feature, I just with there was a way for me to either disable it or if the software allowed an alternate placement of the buttons to more closely match what seems to normal in other forum board software.

I've never done that, but I've repeatedly quoted the article above the one I intended to.LordMortis wrote:I hit save instead of submit and I also PM instead of quote. But I'm sloppy.

Nope never..
Capitalism tries for a delicate balance: It attempts to work things out so that everyone gets just enough stuff to keep them from getting violent and trying to take other people’s stuff.
