INFECTED!

The roles will be copied from the text below and sent out by PM to each player.

Good Powers Team Objective: Eliminate all Evil teams

The Doctor - Seer. Once per night, he may scan a player to determine their role. As long as he or the Nurse is still alive, the lab learns whether or not a lynch was positive for infection. Cannot be Patient Zero. Cannot be Infected by Patient Zero (will be warded off as if by Protection). Loses Seer ability if Mutant 2.

The Nurse - Coroner. Once per night, she can scan one dead player to determine their role. Retains her powers if Patient Zero or Infected Pet, but loses them if Mutant 2.

Med Tech 1 - Mason/Protector. Chooses one person per night to protect. Target of protection is safe from night kill and Patient Zero infection. May self protect. May not repeat. Loses secondary Protector power if Patient Zero, Infected Pet, or Mutant 2, but remains a Mason.

Med Tech 2 - Mason/Hunter. Has a once per game, non-revealing day shot to kill any other player in the game. Loses secondary Hunter power if Patient Zero or Mutant 2, but remains a Mason. Retains Hunter Power if Infected Pet.

Janitors - No power other than voting.

Evil Powers

MUTATION TEAM - Team Objective: Equal or outnumber all other teams. Eliminate Patient Zero.

Mutant 1 - Learns the roles of his night kills. Has the once per game ability to convert instead of kill, creating Mutant 2. Once per night he may scan another player to see if he is Patient Zero. May PM at all times with Mutant 2, once created. Dies in place of the night kill if infected by Patient Zero. If he targets Patient Zero for a kill on the same night Patient Zero attempts to infect him, both die in place of the night kill.

Mutant 2 - Berserker. May kill one other player if lynched. May PM at all times with Mutant 1.

PATIENT ZERO TEAM - Team Objective: Infect all other players, eliminate the Doctor. Eliminate Mutant 1.

Patient Zero - Chooses one player per night to infect. Scans one player per night to discover if they are the Doctor or Mutant 1. Has the once per game ability to create an Infected Pet in place of normal infection. May PM at all times with the Infected Pet. If he attempts to infect Mutant 1, Mutant 1 will die in place of the night kill. If Mutant 1 targets Patient Zero for a night kill on the same night, both die in place of the night kill. If Patient Zero has infected Med Tech 2, and Med Tech 2 attempts to use his once per game Hunter ability, Patient Zero is informed of the target, and may redirect the kill to a new target of his choice.

Infected Pet - Wins with Patient Zero. Can PM at all times with Patient Zero. Has the once per game ability to ward off a night kill against Patient Zero, as if by protection.

RULES CLARIFICATION: The following rules SHOULD have been included from the draft rules in the previous thread --- Original Vector Infected - All still count toward good, and win with good. Return a result of INFECTED if lynched. Are unaware of their infected status. Gain no new abilities, or the ability to PM anybody they cannot already PM with.

If both Patient Zero and Mutant 1 are killed, and either or both of the Infected Pet or Mutant 2 are still alive, they join forces with the team objective to equal or outnumber all remaining teams, and may PM with each other freely for the rest of the game.

Mutant 2 and Infected Pet may be the same player.

Game starts with 13 Good, 2 Evil (13 v. 1 v. 1). Possibly 11 Good v. 2 Evil v. 2 Evil come Monday morning.

Austin stumbled out of his bunk and into the lab’s common area. “So where the hell are we,” he asked the assembled throng.

Lassr scratched his chin. “I don’t know, something about a medical lab on a space station I think.”

Chaosraven was trying to scrape a wad of odd smelling toilet paper off of his shoe with his fork. “Aren’t we all supposed to be janitors, or something?” He flicked the wad of paper to the floor, then shoveled a fork full of omelet into his mouth.

“Well, we’re all wearing these spiffy jumpsuits,’ said Semaj.

“Goddamn lazy-ass mods,” shouted Newcastle, throwing his mug of coffee across the room. “If they don’t give a crap about flavor text, how the hell are we supposed to know what’s going on?”

Brendan wiped hot coffee off of his face. “Well I’m sure it’s the same as always.”

“Yeah,” said Remus West. There’s some bad guys hiding among us, and we have to figure out who it is.”

Unagi looked around the room, doing a quick head count. “Well, everybody seems to be here. Maybe there’s no problem, and they’ll be letting us out soon.”

An overhead speaker crackles to life. ”This is Major Koch, of CorpSec. There has been an infectious containment failure in the lab. You will eliminate the infection among you before I arrive in my resupply ship. You’ll have to kill each other one at a time. I don’t care how you decide, but I’m ordering you to do it by majority vote anyway. Major Koch, out.”

you know folks we do have a priority to find patient zero. only he can infect more of us. the conversions are one shot deals so we should assume they are done and we have 4 bad guys out there now (possibly 3 but I wouldn't like the odds of that).
