Warhammer - Burn the Heretic! Emperor's Children WIN!

Post by tru1cy »

It is the 41st millennium. For the more than a hundred centuries the Emperor has sat immobile on the Golden Throne of Earth. He is the master of mankind by will of the gods, and master of million worlds by the might of his inexhaustible armies. He is a rotting carcass writhing invisibly with power from the Dark Age of Technology. He is the Carrion Lord of the Imperium for whom a thousand Souls are sacrificed every day, so the he may never truly die.

Yet even in his deathless state, the Emperor continues his eternal vigilance. Mighty battlefleets cross the daemon-infested miasma of the Warp, the only route between distant stars, their way lit by the Astronomican, the psychic manifestation of the Emperor's Will. Greatest amongst His soldiers are the Adeptus Astartes, the Space Marines, bio-engineered super warriors. Their comrades in arms are legion: the Imperial Guard and countless planetary defence forces, the ever-vigilant Inquisition and the tech-priest of the Adeptus Mechanicus to name only a few. But for all their multitudes, they are barely enough to hold off the ever present threat from aliens, heretics, mutants - and worse.
- Opening paragraphs from Warhammer novels

On the way back to their Fortress Monastery after being relieved from the posting near the Eye of Terror the Dark Angels Second Company is assaulted during the jump through the warp. Several battle-brothers have been killed secretly. Soon the Company's Librarian has sensed the taint of Chaos amongst his brothers. The arch-enemy must be culled before they reach home....

Chaos Marine – Turned to the Ruinous power by the Chaos Champion. If lynched the warp energies he wields go wild and take one random marine with him.

Semaj, I understand being upset, but if you just plan to self vote without playing we can find another player. No hard feeling involved. Apologize again for screwing up the first game

In before the lock! ;)

Carrying over from the other thread, I really don't see how telling us what the roles were would change anything. Random.org is at work. Just like knowing the roles from Lassr's game means nothing now, so the same should apply to the one we had to punt. Of course I'm just really nosey, so that might be playing a role in my feelings here. :D

But perceptions aren't random and we are using the exact same rulez and roles. I'm fine with waiting.

Anyway, everyone got their new rolez. I assume people know the basic rulez by now so specials get your orders in so tru1cy can kill Remus again.

oh right, the First Night Clue...

For he is truly his Brother's keeper and the finder of lost chapters. And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who attempt to plague and convert my Brothers. And you will know I am Space Marine when I lay my vengeance upon you. I been sayin' that shit for years. And if you ever heard it, it meant your ass. I never really questioned what it meant. I thought it was just a cold-blooded thing to say to a motherfucker before you popped a bolt in his ass. But I saw some shit this mornin' made me think twice. Now I'm thinkin': it could mean you're the evil man. And I'm the righteous man. And Mr. Boltgun here, he's the shepherd protecting my righteous ass in the valley of darkness.

Actually I am going to agree to it....

Not that I am unpowered or anything, I very much was pulling a tru1cy....

_but_ I have to somehow be moved out of my place by the 27th (And find a place before then) while starting a new job and working 2 other jobs....

I have free time and all, just not enough to merit trying to play this game when I dont even know If I'll have internet in 8 or 12 days...

You can still send in your kill order so the game can move along once the fresh meat shows up.

We're not going to get this game in before the Christmas break, are we?

Can't we just kill Remus and pretend it is the start of Night 2? Will anyone second this idea? :P

You are jumping to conclusions. I merely suggest that since your are to die soon anyway, we can just pretend that Semaj was the night kill and you were the Day 1 lynch. Hence, we are on Night 2 and can proceed with the game. Everyone wins! (Well, not so much you, but I'm sure you're willing to take one your team.)

I want to outlive Semaj but by a bit more than that would be nice. Anyway, your little senario there still tells me I lived through night 1. I have to if I am going to be lynched. Made it further than last time. Woo! :D

I have 2 weeks of no work coming up. I am going to spend Christmas/New Years in Hawaii. I maintain hopes that I will someday meet Marisa Miller while surfing while there. What do I have to not be upbeat about? :D

If you weren't dead before, I sure hope you'll be dead now. That's just not fair.

I have two weeks off as well...forced by the company. During that time, I have to keep my house in perfect cleanliness so we will be ready at the drop of a hat for an agent to come through with perspective buyers. Once my "vacation" is over, I get to move from the comfy south to the frozen tundra.

Y'all better really hope I'm not the one with the gun.

If you are moving close to Minneapolis it is supposed to stay above zero for the month. Not much above but above. On the other hand, where I will be is supposed to get below 60. Enjoy.

Yeah, I know. It's supposed to be 70 here tomorrow. Yesterday, the high was -2F at my future home.

I'm going about 1 hour east of St. Paul, MN to the Eau Claire, WI area. I really can't wait to move into my house. I think that part is going to be great! And my commute is down to 3 miles...another vast improvement. It's just the weather that really has us scared. I know we'll adapt, and I'm sure it'll be fun in the short term. I'm just remembering how stir crazy you can go come April/May and there is still snow on the ground.

I've been off since Dec 9th. :P I go back to class on Jan 5th, so yeah... Of course my vacation has me in Canada and Upstate NY, not Hawaii. Great for the kids to be able to play in the snow though... oh wait, it all melted right before we got here. I hope we get some before we head home. Going to be in the Utica area from Sunday -> Saturday so I figure there is a good chance of snow in that period. (We're supposed to get some light snow and lose it a couple times while here in Canada) Wait, is this a what are you doing for break thread or a game?)  Chaosraven
