Kneels besides his cot and pulls out his Deities' symbol and begins his nightly prayers. Finishing his prayers Forge climbs into his cot

Rygar, upon awaking packs his gear and lights a fire to heat up the leftover stew.

Ok, everybody up! We got stuff to do.

Goes to Billy. So any idea what this treasure is, or what is to be guarding it?

Gull grabs a cup of water. Ugh, too warm. A dagger appears in his hand from somewhere and he sticks the tip in his cup. The dagger glows blue for aa second before appearing to cover itself in a thin frosty film. A couple stirs and Gull removes the dagger, which looks quite normal for the second before it disappears onto his person.

In between sips of cold water, Gull silently cleans up his gear in preparation for the trip.

If you wish to travel starting today, Billy will send along your provisions for the trip (4 days - 2 there and 2 back) in lieu of dinner and drinks for the night

If you wish to start tomorrow, you may spend the day in town and the evening in Billys hospitality

I can't say as I see any reason to hang about these parts, but I do know this. That map shows places of which I've heard tell. It leads to life's blinding and death's knell.

We'll be traipsing among the undead, we will.

I don't know how that affects
your plans, but I mean to say a little prayer and then venture forth to see whether what's to be seen really lives up, or dies down, to what they told me.

/moves a little closer to Forge

Gull speaks audibly to himself or anyone listening...

Ugh, wish I never asked. Why can't he ever just give us a good forecast.

[Said in a mock, fairly poor, Azmus voice] Your journey all roses and butterflies will be. Roast meat n' good wine consumed, is your fee. Uhhhh... <pauses> Before you all foes will just take a knee, and you definitely won't have to fight a zombie producing tree.

Gull smirks a self-satisfied smile and marvels at his own cleverness.

Your journey will take a day and a half on road and half a day through woodland to reach the Maps destination.

Plans of travel?

I am wanting to get this done. The woods don't scare me none. What say the rest of you.

The first day on the road other travellers give your party a wide berth and the occasional nervous hand on the pouch, but you make it to dusk without incident... you may make your decisions regarding Campsite and Watch

Gull finds a sturdy tree, checks for crystal shards and satisfied that there are none, leans up against the tree.

Wake me up if you need me to take a watch.

Rygar takes first watch. Circles the campsite with a Mageslayer in each hand.

As you walk your perimeter and grumble at your loss of some shuteye you notice a small creature observing you. It almost resembles a centaur in that it has a very distinct front and back... but the blue skinned humanoid torso seems to have an enormous insect attached, a cricket if you had to guess.

Posted: Tue Feb 05, 2008 2:54 pm
by Austin
Can I attempt to hide or is that not possible once observed?

If so I'd like to casually act as if I haven't noticed it and slip into the shadows.

Acutally wait, how small is small? Like an insect size or like a cat or a small child? Would it fit in a breadbox?

18 inches tall. You are well aware that had the creature chosen to remain hidden from you there would have been almost no chance to see it

Gull crouches down and look squarely at the blue equinegryllidae-humanoid thing. He smiles and extends his hand. Hey there little guy, want to come play a trick on my barbarian friend with me?

Posted: Wed Feb 06, 2008 8:58 pm

The creature examines your hand and extends a tiny one of its own.

As it shakes your finger it muses "you and your friends are a ways from the roads it seems, what brings you into the woods?"

We heard something about a picnic, and bears and figured, "Hey! Free food" right?

But really, you should meet my friend Azmus...

Gull gestures and turns toward camp. Come on... uh... oh yeah, my name is Gull, do you have a name? <Greets the blue thing by name if he has one>

Gull leads the Little Blue back to the camp. When he gets close he yells excitedly "Hey! Hey! Look at what I foun... or what found me! Uh..." Turns distractedly to Little Blue, "What uh... are you? Sorry, I've never met anything... er anyone, like what you are."

wakes up, looks toward Gull and his small, blue companion.

Raises an eyebrow.

Stares intently at the blue thing.
