How can I stop Windows from nagging my wife about upgrading to Win11?

Post by jztemple2 »

My wife's computer is one of those that Microsoft "encourages" to be upgraded to Win11. She doesn't like me to mess with her machine but I am concerned that each time after an auto update it defaults to the Win11 upgrade screen and someday she'll click the wrong thing and start the process. Is there a setting I can change to stop Windows from asking her to upgrade? I need to leave the auto-update setting on because she doesn't check to see if she needs regular Win10 updates.

I did Google searches on this but all I found was some registry editing suggestions. Is that my only option?

If you are on Home version of Win 10 - yes, that's your only option.
