Huh. Hulk's arm apparently healed from the snap.
Also, this looks fun.

I thought the CGI/effects were underwhelming, but I liked the recent comic series, generally like the cast and like the comedic aspect of the show. So yeah, I'm looking forward to it.

Re: [Disney+] She-Hulk: Attorney at Law
There are some serious uncanny valley issues here.
I saw a commercial on late night TV. It said, "Forget everything you know about slipcovers." So I did. And it was a load off my mind. Then the commercial tried to sell me slipcovers, and I didn't know what the hell they were. -- Mitch Hedberg

Yeah, definitely.
That said, I'm glad that lawyers are finally getting attention as the superheroes that we are.

Figured the gaggle of attorneys here would enjoy it.
I also wasn't sure if we were seeing a trailer with unpolished VX - that there will be additional fine-tuning of the CGI stuff over the next 2+ months. Either way, I'm definitely interested in seeing the show. And not for weird giantess reasons (no judgements).
Maybe next year, maybe no go

I see that Mark Ruffalo is doing the green guy - but will Eddie Murphy be back as Donkey?

Re: [Disney+] She-Hulk: Attorney at Law
I've only read one issue of She Hulk, BUT in that one issue she represented the son of Dr. Doom who was seeking asylum from Latveria, but on the way to the asylum hearing Dr. Doom's agents kidnapped him. Then She Hulk went to talk to Daredevil to talk through whether due to her duty to give her client zealous representation she had an ethical obligation to use her superpowers to bust into Latveria and rescue him.Smoove_B wrote: ↑Wed May 18, 2022 10:48 am

I was never much of a She-Hulk fan back in the day, but I'll probably give it a shot.

I know almost nothing about the MCU but I recognized Tim Roth in that trailer. Is he a recurring character in the universe?

Yes, going back to the Ed Norton Hulk days. He was (briefly) in the Shang-Chi movie as well.

The Man Without Fear is back!
On a side note, there is one cool thing about that ending scene. As good as the Netflix series was, it ignored the very acrobatic style of DD - looks like the MCU is going to bring that back, which is really cool.

I find the uncanny valley effect here is extreme (for this era). Thought I'm sure the CGI and motion capture are impressive for their budget.

True, but that hallway fight scene was one of the most amazing pieces of action cinematography I've seen in a while.

IGN
She-Hulk: Attorney at Law has been delayed... but thankfully only by a day.
The new Disney+ series was scheduled to begin on August 17, but the premiere will now air on August 18, with the entire nine-episode season seeing release on Thursdays from then on. Disney hasn't explained the shift.

Watch them at midnight and it's basically still Wednesday. (note that I have no idea what time D+ shows release so this option may not be viable)

If I'm still up by 10pm the next day is going to be rough. Plus, I think they drop at midnight Pacific time which would be 3am locally for me.

Re: [Disney+] She-Hulk: Attorney at Law
Just saw the 1st episode and really liked it. Definitely a different tone than most MCU stuff, but I'm up for it. Tatiana Maslany is great.
Also, important: there is an after credits scene.

Enjoyed the first episode. Definitely nice to have what is essentially an MCU comedy.
One question - I really like the She Hulk character, and have been thinking about reading more of her comics. Is there a She Hulk graphic novel / compilation that is considered a classic?

I never thought I'd type anything like this, but Jameela Jamil injured her asshole filming the movie.
"I pulled a muscle in my asshole," she revealed. "I didn't know that was possible!"

I loved the John Byrne run on She-Hulk. And they had a great graphic novel from that era as well.El Guapo wrote:Enjoyed the first episode. Definitely nice to have what is essentially an MCU comedy.

It’s fun. Not Paste Pot Pete fun…but just fun.
Of course, I couldn’t stop wondering at which point Jameela hurt her sphincter when she showed up.
