I measure same time every day (morning, before breakfast, after run) and enter it into the Health app on my phone. It keeps an ongoing record and shows trend lines over week, month, 6 months, and year, which is helpful when gauging progress.

I just set mine up to do the same. If I don't get in the habit of logging every day I don't think I'll be consistent.

20210102 - 145.2 -- apparently eating an entire coffee cake over the course of a week on top of christmas dinner and holiday related treats has consequences...
2021 saw me go as low as 139.0 (4/30/2021), but I managed to fight back and ended the year at 148.0.

When I was 141 lbs I looked like a rake. My wife said I looked like a AIDS patient.

How tall are you?

I'm the same height. When my weight dropped to 145 about 15 years ago, my friends thought I had cancer. But that's because they'd only known me as a fat adult, not the skinny guy I'd been the whole first half of my life. In my mind I was just getting back to my normal weight.

I don't want to be that thin again (and probably can't be, short of getting a wasting disease). Ideally I'd like to be around 160. But if I can make it back to 180 I'll consider that a win for next year's thread.

I've never been over 170 and that was when I was 17 at the end of basic training. None of it was fat. I'm genetically blessed.

Silence fell. The room of sweaty fat people turned slowly to look at the interloper, death in their gaze.
