This is just a personal plea, not a formal request or anything.

Please consider listing your location in your profile. A huge portion of what we're discussing these days - elections, the pandemic, schools, hurricanes, protests, police action - is location specific. Where you live, at least in general, is relevant to the discussion, and yet so many people have that blank or put something obscure in that spot. More than once I've read through a long thread trying to figure out what they hell someone was talking about only to find out that the reason was they lived in another country.

I'm not asking for your address. City would be good, but if you're particularly cautious or worried about being identified, even state would be enough to add the needed context to your posts (mine's just which corner of a state.) Super paranoid? "New England." "Pacific Northwest." But "Pale Blue Dot" just isn't useful.

I thought you were moving and was wondering why you were putting it in the meta forum.

Since I am already responding I will throw out an "I agree" or a +1 if you prefer. I will NOT ^ though.

I've listed my location. I'm not sure anybody knows where it is tho.

Same issue here. I've tried changing multiple times in the past two days, using both http:// and https:// (using either of www.octopusoverlords.com or octopusoverlords.com ) and have always ended up with the error page.

Weird...might be broken for some board styles. I'm on SE Square Left, and it let me change it back and forth just now without any issues.

Hexagon is the only correct answer.

I’m on SE Sqare Left as well. It also just failed on my iPad, so the error is platform independent. The error also repeated on board style Hexagon and also with the site whitelisted in my ad blocker extension (though adblocking doesn't exist in my Safari/iOS platform, so that's a redundant finding).

Everyone knows that Boston is the Hub of the Universe, right?

I just changed it on my iPad, seemed to work.

I am able to change it without that error screen -- not sure what's different on your end? There's an update available for phpBB -- I'll install that once I have shaken off the cobwebs and have a cup of coffee (not that it necessarily will fix this problem, but maybe).

I have a 02:40:39 redux extended director's cut edition of me getting the error message. If you'd like, I can burn it to a double-density Ultra HD Blu-ray and courier it to you.
