Yeah, I had the nuts. Sorry. I put you on either a high pair or chasing the flush like I was. I was kind of hoping with my big raise you would fold just to prolong the game.

And then there were three.

Yeah, it was tough to walk away after the river. You were betting pretty hard going into it though with nothing but a flush draw.

Meal, you said this game was going turbo fast. What is the more appropriate raising of blind format?

The Internet tells me a flush draw on the flop is a better than 30% chance to hit and a flush is a strong hand. If 4 flush card are known, then the odds of someone else having 2 flush cards are also low (needing to account for 6 of 13 possible cards) and even less so with a small table.

The hard part for me would have been do I stay in pre-flop on 10-5. I dunno the answer, this game is flying and we only had five at the table. I fear I've been under valuing my hands based, playing too timid, on these factors and I don't really have a proper sense of how I should be valuing my cards and my bets.

Such is life, it's a free diversion and it's moving pretty quickly, so it's not like if I'm feeling bent, I have to stick around and not ruin the game for five (including the effort of Remus) other people. However the blind increase works (I never made the effort to internalize the scheme), I don't imagine this will go much more than 30 hand at the absolute most.

Sorry, life is interfering right now. I started to do this last night then noticed I had not properly subtracted the first round of bets from chip stacks so I need to correct that but then my mom went by to the hospital this morning and I haven't been able to deal with much. She seems alright (I am not allowed in the ER with her but spoke with her on the phone) and wanting to go home again already but.......hopefully everything will be fine but I'm not sure when I'll get to updating this.

Anything is appropriate. There isn't a standard to be followed, and quick makes sense especially considering this turned out to be a sort of trial run (for us, but especially for Remus West).

I have run something similar in the past, and I did so without the 2× factor on the "clicks" that this tournament has used. Under that system, I believe a 10p tournament ran roughly 40 hands to completion.

Best luck to your mom! Hope she comes back home quickly.

Thanks for organizing the poker. I'd certainly play again if you decide to run another.
