Acid Sniper rifle, acid assault rifle, and an electric laser for the adds.
I hope to forget about this battle again.

Re: Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel
So yeah, 6 years later and I finally beat the absurd spaceship boss. I think it took me close to an hour - lots of hiding in the elevator. My issue was that i had the wrong guns and didn't have any in my inventory that were helpful. There was nothing at the vending machines either and I'd died so many times my save had little money even if there was something good. So with my drones I managed to stay alive and slowly whittle him down. Beyond annoying, but I'm now in the final leg and I should be able to finish it.
My opinions haven't changed in six years. This is easily my least favorite Borderlands title, and it's not even close.

Maybe next year, maybe no go

Likewise. It really helps to do that boss in co-op. Not because of the extra firepower, but because as long as one person stays alive, it doesn't reset. When we did it, if everyone but one person died, that person's job was to stop attacking and just survive long enough for someone else to spawn in.

So...made it to the final boss. Total nonsense; died three times...not sure I'll beat it.

I was thinking of the wrong boss - I was thinking of the DLC boss experience, which was something else entirely.

Re: Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel
I did just beat it. Needed to eat dinner and come back clear-headed. It was still and awful fight and I hated every second of it, but at least I've now finished a game from 2016 - something that was bothering me.
