Ok so that worked, although it took about 15 seconds to post the message vs almost instant on my laptop.

Yep, the support guy is MIA and ignoring my requests for help (he asked for the URL, and hasn't replied since). I'm not hopeful, time to start looking at Forum Runner & the PHPBB mobile style template.

Why do some people have a thing at the bottom of their posts saying tapatalk but I don't?

Because the people who have the Tapatalk auto-signature on their posts haven't been considerate enough to the rest of us to disable the auto-signature. :P

I don't know why people find auto signatures any worse than normal ones... I ignore them regardless :-)

The placement of the auto-signature integrates it into the post rather than falling below the break line indicating "ignore this bit".

And to my thinking, it's a form of advertising which we can opt out of (or rather opt our readers out of), and none of us needs to be exposed to more ads.

1) User Control Panel
2) Board Preferences
3) Edit Display Options
4) Display Signatures > No

I have no clue as to whether or not this takes away the Tapatalk signatures or not.

I figured that was why... Just doesn't rackle my nerves like it does many others... I just ignore them all

I would guess that it doesn't because that probably again only turns off the stuff that falls below the line, the actual forum signature.

Correct. The Tapatalk signature is part of the text of the message, and not a part of the forum signature.

They are the same type of people whose VCRs blinked "12:00"...

I can't find where one would turn the ad spam on or off in tapatalk, lol.

You need to go into settings from the main page (ie, before you enter a forum). There should be a signature setting towards the bottom

And yeah I see the signature, but not where to turn it on. Not that I want it on, heh.

On mine I click on Tapatalk signature and then select none

Yep I can see my options there, for None, a couple variants and customize. But I don't see where to enable it. That's what bugs me, even though I don't want it enabled, lol. By default it is enabled, so I don't understand why it's not appearing.

Because I override the setting in the server config. It shouldn't post it at all.

Tapatalk doesn't recognize strikethrough. Can that be changed without much hassle?

Seems not.

Tapatalk support thread 2012 - Limitation of IOS

That reminds me I'm way out of date on the server side plugin.. Son of a bitch, I'm going to have to upgrade that nightmare soon.

Thanks for checking. I'm using Android, so I guess it supports 20th century markup on neither of the core platforms for which it was crudely hackedwritten
