almost chose blink as my first word, went with bland is instead. I would have had it in two with blink. Tomorrow, I'll probably choose fight but that might be a bit too uncommon. Knoll, shire? Do they have hobbits on the brain?
Another strikeout on guess 1. Then once I knew the N went at the start of the word, it took me awhile to consider KN. But that did it.
Spoiler:
I strike out round 1 usually bodes well for me. That's why I moved to less common letters. Otherwise I find myself getting into a rut of thinking of nothing at all or plugging in letters for until I buzzer out with three greens of common letters.
But then I seem not get it in 6 too often and no one else seems to miss at all.

Wordle 219 4/6
Spoiler:
THEIR
SOUND
BACON
KNOLL
How the hell did you make that jump?
Kept looking at unused letters and trying to make up words in my head until I found one that would fit, that was the first one that came up. Dumb luck, not anything to do with brilliant logical leap.
Row 3 I had a K in position 5, then on the next two I tried a K in position 4 then 3. With my other letter restrictions, it was breaking my mind trying to think of a word that had a K in the first or second slots. The double letter puzzles really add to the difficulty!

I couldn't think of the right word, so just went letter hunting with my third guess...got what I needed for the answer!
Wordle 220 4/6
Spoiler:
PEARL
GROAN
CHITS
SUGAR
Same for me, although I used my 4th for hunting and got it in five.
Decided to use force myself to use the revealed clues. Goofed on second guess because for some reason, I was thinking i needed to find where the 1 letter I discovered in word 1 went.
Was surprised the third word was a word, sometimes, it's worth a shot at odd maybe words

Bullshit again.
Spoiler:
That's why I try to stop starting heavy on vowels, S,R,T,,and C. It feels like you are just plugging in letter before getting to six tries at that point. I have timed out more than once and then started just throwing letter for less common words because I can't see a tree from the forest.
So-so. I've quit doing the double word start for now, just to change it up. My third guess was just idiotic, though, repeating two wrong letters/positions. I need to start thinking before I hit 'enter.'

I'm not talking about the start. Even getting nothing on the first word yields 5 clues. I'm getting 3 or 4 greens and still taking 3 tries to get the word. It's happened the last 3 or 4 puzzles.
And by "bullshit" I don't mean the game is crap I just mean cosmic randomness annoying me.
Today:
Spoiler:
Smart Spear Solar Sugar

Spoiler:
That's what I mean about avoiding the most common letters out of gate. I found that I was getting great 1/2 guesses and then I'd have 21 letters in various combos to guess for my next guesses with many many words that could fit. For the way my brain works, I'm better off knowing semi common letter are present or absent.
In your case, I've decide at most I will start with one S, R, or T and I would add C to that as well. If I started S _ _ _ R and A in first or second slot, I could could really put the hurt on my ability to guess. Or maybe it's just the way my pea brain works. After a couple of weeks of this I know my tunnel vision is likely to lose at that game and before I ever saw SUGAR, there is reasonable chance I'd start using weird words I never use that it's not going to be like SHOAR simply because I can't conjure SUGAR in my head. And once I put the A in the right spot I'd be like SONAR, SOLAR, SWEAR, SPEAR, SMEAR, SHEAR before I even got to the weird words.
New rule, if you post your wordle results, you must (if you want) write a sentence or paragraph (in spoilers) using all of the words, in order... in a sensible manner!

Spoiler:
I had just polished off my fifth STEIN of beer and was about to drive home, when the lady next to me grabbed my wrist and said "Hey! You're in no condition to drive! Have you no MORAL compass?" Now normally I wouldn't be attracted to a woman so BRASH, but I was pretty drunk and I liked her RASPY voice, so I said "Girl, gimme some SUGAR."
