Eh. I read the first book. I really didn't enjoy it. It's just not the kind of entertainment I enjoy. For reasons that I don't want to get into.

Edit: And that's a confusing 'top of page' post. But I'm going to leave it just to let people wonder what I was smoking...

Not wanting to name he who shall not be named but not wanting to slay every 77 year old man in Florida (although if it worked just might be worth the cost) I referenced "A" (specific) Florida man.

A news blurb today suggested he will be losing Mar a Lago, so he might not be "the Florida guy" anymore, just TFG.

Saw Joni Mitchell perform at the Grammy's the other night, and was blown away, both because I thought she was dead, and to hear how great she sounded considering the considerable health trouble she has had over the years. I never lost my shit like so many teens coming of age when they discovered her music, but I can recognize her absolute unique genius.

Also, Billy Joel?! Didn't think he was dead, but that new song he wrote? Loved it.

One person I keep thinking is dead is Margaret Atwood, but I recently saw she's doing a cameo in a popular Canadian TV show. She's Canadian royalty.

She's "just" 84, and I think she's still writing. Her last novel was four years ago, but I believe she's still publishing poetry, essays, and reviews in various venues.

Really, could have sworn she was older. Maybe because she's had such a long career.

If you meet the other, don't hug, it could create a matter/antimatter explosion that dooms us all.

Seriously though, glad to see you're still with us!

‘My songs spread like herpes’: why did satirical genius Tom Lehrer swap worldwide fame for obscurity?
In the 1950s and 60s, his songs stunned and delighted listeners with their irreverence, wit and nihilism. Then he gave it all up to teach mathematics. Lehrer is still alive at 96 – so I went in search of answers
