I just checked my picks and was psyched that I had gotten all the early games correct. Then I realized I had mistakenly written "TB" when picking between the New England vs. Tampa Bay game in my email to Zaxxon (and of course locked it, since I meant to pick NE). If I miss the playoffs by 4 points I'm going to be kicking myself. That's what I get for rushing to get my picks in before leaving town (and internet access) for the weekend.

Actually, that was in the back of my mind too but didn't mention it so you could preserve the aura of independence of the OONFL Commissioner. I guess you could have done updates from any number of wi-fi spots if the wife kicked you out of the house...

Sorry for the delay sending this out. Busy Monday/Tuesday combined with Bears Bummer-ism.

Average score rebounded by more than half a point per game this week; nice job. Actually, naming anyone 'dumbass' this week feels a bit off, as the low was 19--for a week with only 13 games, that's really not too bad.

Game of the Week: I don't think any really stood out this week. Not a lot of good football...

Upset of the Week: ARI over NYG. This one creamed us.

Sure Thing of the Week: IND over STL. NE over TB would have tied it, but Mr. Wiggum accidentally locked TB. Oopsies!

Game of Next Week: STL @ DET. I get a strange sensation that I might lock the Lions. (!)

Conversation in the EbG thread seemed to think it was Detroit's game to lose, but I felt all week that Detroit was too beat up (haven't had the same personel available as when their offense looked good earlier in the season), but I knew I was picking the Loins to win (picking with my heart), and I didn't want to empower any other pickets in the pool to go with the Rams.

I also grabbed and started their DST in one of my FF leagues in place of Philly. Philly did not do great at 8 points but that is a hell of a lot better than the 1 Arizona put up.
