Physical therapy continues for the next two weeks still. My therapist says I'm making progress but I'm impatient and want it working now. I still have to use a cane since I don't fully trust the knee yet and it still feels like it hasn't fully "settled" into place. Everything still feels a bit thunky and clicky. I'm told that's not uncommon and should go away soon enough.

Unfortunately, because I've had to rely on the right leg so much, that one, which was already dodgy to begin with and is due for replacement in June, has been acting increasingly worse.
Hopefully the left recovers enough that I can rely on it soon.
I sure hope they lined the two sides up right!

I think that's what the horizontal marker lines were for.

I mean, pretty sure. It was attached to me at the time of the photo.

RANT: Pills & pill bottles

Why dont they ever cooperate or work right??? Never ever ever never. I want one..ONE pill...I get 2 or 3. One damnit. And then its I want ONE to go back in the bottle..no no not two..one! After that the lids...they dont go right back on the way you screwed them off. They always take a liiiiiiitle back screw to fit back down on the bottle right so they then screw on right. Always.

The childproof cap on my ibuprofen bottle is nearly arthritis-proof, too. Lining up the arrows and pushing up with your thumb is a problem when your thumb is the reason you need ibuprofen.

I needed to open a bottle of Worcestershire sauce the other day and struggled with the plastic film wrap over the cap, only to find that they also had a foil seal over the mouth of the bottle under the cap. Damned Tylenol murderers still screwing things up for everybody.

The world at large became a lot more challenging when my hands stopped working right.

All you probably have to do is ask. They might even annotate it in your file too.

That's awesome! It's such a relief knowing that the treatment process will come to an end (or, rather, the active treatment process - expect lots of exams and tests for the next few years.)

Evidently I'm going to keep taking my infusion medicine for a couple of years but yeah things are peachy.

The bad news is that while I was leaving I tripped while trying to is into get in the car. Hit my head pretty good and twisted my leg.
Fortunately my cap cushioned the blow but my leg is all screwed up. Both my ankle and my knee and I can't walk. :violin:

That was a BIG rollercoaster there DBT!
Maybe have your lower limbs looked at on Monday to make sure things are good so you will heal properly?

My custom cane has arrived. I figured, since I'm going to need one anyway, why not get one with some style.
These are made by a company in Ukraine and a portion of each sale goes to the war effort so I'm seriously considering getting a second one in a different style.

Joy.

Sunday I woke up with me knee feeling tender. Monday it was painful and had started to swell. Tuesday the swelling was from the top of the tibia down four or five inches. Today? Almost to the ankle. I'm going to try to keep the thing elevated and find a way to ice it, but I have a feeling that I'm going to be making a doctor's appointment soon.

You just woke up like that? No injury? Could be a blood clot my man. Better get it looked at sooner rather than later.

I'm not not acting on it. My doctor is a 100-mile round trip and the facility she works in is a huge pain in the ass (but the doctor herself is fantastic, which is the only reason I put up with it.) I don't have many risk factors for clots, other than swelling, I don't have other symptoms of a clot (or serious infection.) I'm watching, and I'm paying attention, but I'm giving it a day or two of careful rest, elevation, ice, etc. and seeing if it is something that will ease on its own.

If it doesn't, I'll be calling.

I reworked my leg wedge and kept the leg up overnight, which seems to have helped. I have it on the bed now as well, and rigged a long gooseneck tablet holder so that it can hold either my tablet (for videos) or my Paperwhite (for reading) in front of my face when I'm on my back, which lets me elevate the leg comfortably for a while every couple of hours. Oh, and the new ice pack came in, too

My BP and pulse are still fine (my normal resting heart rate is is under 60 BPM anyway), and I still don't have other warning signs of serious problems.

I'll give it another day or two and see if it continues to improve.
