Noticed this under the Quick Takes link:

Since it's a sports game, I'm assuming that's the same Bill Harris who partnered with Rich for a while to keep the site afloat. Wow - had no idea his history with the site went back so far.Football Pro 99

"Well, this is typical Sierra, really, at least their sports division. The game has a complex and rewarding design. They couldn't finish it in time so they just shipped a build, basically. I can't believe they actually envisioned the finished animation and collision detection being this horrendous."

In case Mr. Fed was still wondering, that poster was what I mean when I say "touchhole".MHS wrote:A post was deleted, Al. Someone with the user name "Rich LaPorte" posted. It was not the real Rich LaPorte, so it's been dealt with.
Very uncool.
(the other poster, not MHS. )
And in banks across the world
Christians, Moslems, Hindus, Jews
And every other race, creed, colour, tint or hue
Get down on their knees and pray
The raccoon and the groundhog neatly
Make up bags of change
But the monkey in the corner
Well he's slowly drifting out of range
Christians, Moslems, Hindus, Jews
And every other race, creed, colour, tint or hue
Get down on their knees and pray
The raccoon and the groundhog neatly
Make up bags of change
But the monkey in the corner
Well he's slowly drifting out of range

DD, thanks for the Wayback Machine through time. Ah, the nostalgia of it all...
I miss the way Rich always ended with his classic line "Let me get back to work."
All the accumulated time I've read through Rich's Roll Calls and Bill's Night Calls over the years added up to hours of sheer enjoyment of their wit and wisdom. Both of these guys, and their hard work that they've put into making Gone Gold such an enjoyable site to visit will be missed.
