Has anyone played this? EA released 1/8/24. It's an open world with first person exploration (reminds me a bit of Oblivion) and grid based top down combat. Reviews are very positive, so for 20 bucks I think I will give it a spin.

I'm about an hour in. You get to make a custom party of four. I had to restart on Explorer mode since the combat is rather brutal for so early in the game and when I found a spot I could camp it said I was too close to enemies. I did find that you can somewhat kite enemy groups if you do so before combat starts. It doesn't split them, but it spreads them out. I found a bow and it looks like I will prefer range attacks, at least until I get some decent gear. I am enjoying the exploration and found my first chest. Liking it so far.

I wiped the snot running from my nose and made it through the first dungeon. Found the treasure of Graulf at the end of it and it was...underwhelming. Now I am out in the actual open world.
