I've been watching videos of this game on Youtube. 8v8 multiplayer. It's crazy. If you liked Total Annihilation, this is your game. It even has a Linux client, and it's FREE.

I've downloaded it and played my first tutorial and it was smooth as silk on my older system, even with hundreds of units, although it's capable of thousands.

You might want to also try "Zero-K" on Steam as well. It is free and very similar (apparently they share DNA back to TA).
