Reforming Criminal Justice

Post by paulbaxter »

I was just listening to a podcast interview with author and attorney Matthew Martens regarding his recent book, Reforming Criminal Justice.

I've long thought that the way our country handles criminal justice issues and incarceration is terribly flawed, to put it mildly, but I certainly don't have the sort of background to really understand some of the deep issues. Martens certainly lays bare many of those issues in the discussion.

He's coming, as am I, from a distinctly Christian point of view (and the podcast is one devoted to religious issues), but I think the issues he talks about should be concerning and thought provoking for anyone.
