What The Hell Happened To Gone Gold?
Excuse my ignorance on the subject, but can anyone tell me what the hell happened to GoneGold? One day it was there and the next-ZIP! What happened? And why didn't anyone give us a heads up?

In that case, Gone Gold (RIP) is alive in well, right here.DiscoJason wrote:It went the way of the dinosaurs...
Actually, I guess that isn't technically true if you believe in evolution which tells us that dinosaurs are alive and well with us in the form of birds and reptiles.
You get my point, though.

Goodbye Gone Gold
If you go over to the Console Gold forums, there are a ton of posts about Gone Gold's shutdown.
I was a long time lurker (almost 5 years) on Gone Gold, but only an occaisional poster. While I am a little upset about how the plug was pulled on Gone Gold so abruptly, I am really concerned about Rich.
Gone Gold was Rich's baby and he formed a vibrant community there. Even with all of his health problems, he always kept everyone posted on how he was doing. He always tried to keep a positive outlook on things even when dealing with multiple health issues. He always seemed to care about the site, even when he was unable to work on it.
It just really concerns me that Rich is at a place emotionally or mentally that he just couldn't deal with Gone Gold anymore and just pulled the plug without even saying goodbye.
I sincerely hope Rich gets better and those of you who are religous should say a prayer for him and those who aren't should think a kind thought about him.

Well, assuming that you favor punctuated equilibrium over natural selection that is.DiscoJason wrote:It went the way of the dinosaurs...

And in banks across the world
Christians, Moslems, Hindus, Jews
And every other race, creed, colour, tint or hue
Get down on their knees and pray
The raccoon and the groundhog neatly
Make up bags of change
But the monkey in the corner
Well he's slowly drifting out of range
Christians, Moslems, Hindus, Jews
And every other race, creed, colour, tint or hue
Get down on their knees and pray
The raccoon and the groundhog neatly
Make up bags of change
But the monkey in the corner
Well he's slowly drifting out of range
