Same. Finishing the School of Llama as well.
Yeah, I'm on the last part of School of Llama too. I don't really care about the emoticons, spray or banners. The only reward left that is meaningful for me is the XP and I probably won't need it. But it's nice having goals while playing the 'shooty shooty' game. I still have a couple Creed, Cipher, Oathbound and Witcher quests to finish too. Plenty to keep me busy for the last couple of days.

I've completed everything but the daily Cipher quests that haven't released and the Wildlife Milestone - on level 16. Guess it's time to go game hunting. :)

Usually I only care for the skins and emotes. I loved jusr standing in wait like a zombie with glowing eyes or sitting in my chair at the campfire roasting marshmellows. Dont care for the ones that aren't infinite though.

Accomplished everything I wanted to over the weekend. Also got to play some Squad matches with the family - those can be such fun chaos!

I had the darndest time this weekend finding boars or wolves to use to fulfill the recent round of Geralt quests, but finally pulled it off last night. Although the new alternate Geralt skin really doesn't look all that different from the base one.

Was that to get 3 elims while mounted? I got credit for that from a motorcycle. :)

And yes the skin is very close - I kept switching back and forth and it took 3-4 switches before I saw the differences.

I figured it out by accident. I got the first elim from a boar. I was tracking the quest and noticed it updated during the next game when I got one from the motorcycle. That made the last one much easier.

I was Game Hunting all weekend - I was at 320 and needed to get to 400 to complete the Milestone. You never notice how rare the animals are until you are trying desperately to find them.

You could do the Geralt quests in an evening. I don't think the second round of quests is really worth it, though, since as I mentioned the second Geralt skin is barely different (I think the only thing of note out of the second round of Geralt quests is the Roach glider).

Trying to do a quest where I need to grind around a rail while damaging players with a smg is tough to do when no one else goes there

Yeah, I haven't gotten that SMG/rail quest done yet either. I like a lot of the new biome, but not the city.

I miss the giant sledgehammer, but the katana dash attack is almost more fun as a movement alternative.

Are you sure it was damaging a player with an SMG? I remember one that you have to hit targets - those are just stationary on the side of a building. I completed all the quests and never saw one with having to hit a player while grinding.

I like the area surrounding Mega City - a lot of elevation changes and the bamboo makes for some dynamic fights. I'm still trying to learn my way around the city itself though. Grinding on the rails is surprisingly fun - will be better when I understand where they go. :D Note that you can speed up on a rail by using the "sprint" button for whatever format you're on.

I find the Augments a bit underwhelming. I like the "slide to get ammo" and "increase medium ammo clip size" ones, but don't really have much use for the others. I like the sword mechanics much, much better than the hammer. I like the Havoc Assault Rifle. I like the mechanics on the Heavy Sniper that have light flash the scope sight when a person is targeted. I have never been a fan of the Red-Eye Rifle and am sad it is so heavily represented now. Still trying to learn the Havoc Shotgun - I think I like it. Really like the Legendary Slurp - saved me a bunch of times.

Yeah the only rail quests I have seen are to gain health / shields while on a rail (easy enough) and to shoot at stationary targets while on a rail.

One other difference with the kinetic sword vs. the hammer is that players do (I believe) take fall damage when knocked off of heights by the sword. I knocked someone off a building in Mega City with the sword and then got an elim a few seconds later, which was fun.

I came in 2nd to what should have been my winning round. It was down to just me and another player. The map circle was as tight as it could be and we were both using some purple extra rare sniper rifles. I was hid in a bush and they were at long range to where I could barely see them on a hill. I shot first and hit and they started shooting randomly into the bush I was hiding in. They were damn lucky and hit me repeatedly but I was hitting them too.

At the end we both took each others shields down at the same time but my next shot hit them in the chest which isn't a killing shot and they got lucky and hit me in the head so insta killed me even though I still had full health. I was sure Id won when the game froze for the ending but it said 2nd. Man I was miffed and surprised.

Ok, I'm already getting sick of dealing with the heavy snipers. The new little 'aiming flash' isn't enough to offset the chaos it is causing. Hate hate hate 'em.

Yes - any time they use the scope, it flashes.

I don't have a problem with them. They are not my weapon of choice either - too hard to aim effectively - but can be fun in squads when there is enough chaos to get some shots off.

Are the eggs for anything but eating for health? I found one egg my last game days ago. I got mad and deleted the game after that bad round. Seems some players are either cheating or just gods as they can either not miss at all or use a assault rifle fro ma mile away to kill me even with shields. I swear they cheat. Made me mad enough to delete. May reinstall soon..may not.

There are two types of eggs - the mostly green ones are for health. The mostly purple ones give you a higher hop (like a zero point movement).

There are definitely cheaters - same as in every online game. I find them rare enough that I still have fun.

Has anyone noticed the Bots are much more aggressive this weekend? At least one and sometimes 2 follow me to the ground and then hunt me until one of us is dead. Bit of a learning curve there.

I'm not sure what you're confused about. Epic tries to make it hard on cheaters, but they exist and it will seem unfair when they take you out. But at least right now it doesn't mean you won't still be able to have fun and win a few.

I spent all weekend forcing myself to play with the sword. Now I'm not sure how I ever lived without it. Just being able to wait until the last second to get out of a storm would earn it a spot in my inventory - and yet it can do so much more.

How would you identify cheating or suspicious activity? I've certainly had people make seemingly crazy shots against me, but I have no idea how I would tell that they were cheating as opposed to just good and/or lucky.

If they are better than you or surprised you, they must be cheating. It's pretty easy to tell!

There is only one instance I am certain - I was hiding in a pile of leaves and a guy came up and shot me like he knew I was there. I watched it from his view in the replay - I got there before he was in any position to see me. He started crossing the bridge and reacted to the leaf pile like there was an enemy there (jumped down a zip line and then back up from a different angle). He then got closer and started shooting into the pile for no apparent reason. I eliminated him, so it was all for naught, but I can't come up with any other explanation for his actions.

Most replays show me the errors that got me taken out. Any time I'm out in the open and get one shot'd, though, I like to think I'm playing against someone that's just better at flick shots. But given that even pro players have been caught with scripts on their mice that act like aim-bots, I'm not ruling out cheating - there's just no way to be sure.

I only recently became aware of how prevalent it is due to a WAN Show piece on Escape from Takov. This is the video that WAN referenced that laid it all out in which a guy decided to cheat to a) see how hard it was and b) see how common.

Seen two or three good examples of cheating.

1. Guy using a assault rifle is SO far away I can barely see him with a sniper rifle scope and his fire is all hitting me and following me to hit me moving from side to side.

2. Another far off guy. I could see his fire incoming but even with a scoped sniper rifle I could never see him. I could see the pinpoint start of the fire at me but no one there. I have my view maxed and there was no bushes or anything to hide him. And each bullet hit me while I moved.

Well I just played a round and won, so I can confirm that cheating is rare to nonexistent now.

But another random question. I've had a couple games recently (in Zero Build Battle Royale) where I just suddenly started periodically generating a "ping" effect, the thing that shows you nearby chests in yellow and enemies / animals in red. There was no augment generating it (and I don't think an augment like that is currently in the game). Could it have been an egg effect? I think I had captured an area / control flag, which generates that at the time that you capture it, but not after (unless that's changed)?

Not complaining, but curious.

The Treasure Hunter augment does the treasure chests. Hiring the right Mercenary will ping for both (the Merc I know is in the snow up by the cavern).

Oh, maybe that's it. I do regularly hire mercenaries, so guessing one of them is who was doing it.

I used to always hire them. Ive not encountered one for hire in ages. All of them just sell stuff.

There are plenty around. There's a quest currently to hire each of four specialists which flags the location of each respective specialist. And my son loves to land at the gas station to the north of Mega City, which has a castle just to its east with Remedy for hire.

Got to use the Overclocked Pulse Laser for the first time yesterday. It is really powerful - no wonder I always die to it.
