Republicans betrayed classical liberal democracy in the 80s. They never were what they promised.

Democrats are lucky, they have mostly BIG donors who they treat much better.
Cool. Keep refusing to learn from mistakes. That'll go well.

Nothing to do with him being totally unqualified. Nope nothing at all. It's super depressing how many people actually voted for the dude.
Capitalism tries for a delicate balance: It attempts to work things out so that everyone gets just enough stuff to keep them from getting violent and trying to take other people’s stuff.

What I took from that is even hard core supporters are starting to realize and tire of the grift.

He is fighting off an insurgency in the Housecaucus that threatens his chances at Speaker of House. He probably (correctly IMO) calculates that causing this sort of ruckus is good for him.
Seems like he has no ability to shutdown the government until the new majority comes in, right? So wouldn't this be mostly theatre?

This isn't hard stuff. If you're in the Kari Lake base, anytime that democrats win it is by definition corrupt, and the details don't matter all that much. For Republican-leaning voters that aren't firmly in the base, mainstream GOP types will go on Fox News and talk about a few things that seem vaguely odd in a "just asking questions" way.
