Raunchy comedy about nuns starring Alison Brie, Kate Micucci, John C. Reilly, Fred Armisen, Nick Offerman, etc.

Apparently based on Boccaccio.
Wife and I watched it this evening. Our tastes in comedy are have some overlap, but not entirely. We both found it mildly amusing.

It's got a short runtime, so it's not a huge investment if you're interested.

Ok, that actually looks kind of cool, if it's being played off like a parody.

I have no idea what to make of that. I also cant picture myself walking into the theater to buy a ticket to this all by myself.

The director has never done fluff, and she has been nominated for three Oscars. (Her best known movies are Lady Bird and Little Women).

I think the surreal 2001/Kubrick reference here is an attempt to declare high satire. This probably won't be a typical Rom-Com.

(I don't follow movie news closely, but I think I've seen that this whole project has been produced under a veil a secrecy. And of course both Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling are at the peaks of their careers, with no need to dabble in trash.)
