Still no check here either. I wonder if there is any regularity to the batches they are sending out (i.e., a bunch more next Wednesday) or if this is just going to be a "you'll get it when you get it situation."

I usually check my account a few times a week for various transfers. Nothing has shown up since Tuesday in or out. Including several verified electronic deposits and two ACH withdrawals. These things are always instant in my account. I think this may have broken some banks' systems.

My status finally updated this morning on the "Get My Payment" website. Seems they are sending me a paper check. No idea why considering my last two checks were direct deposited. It also mentioned March 26th, but I can't remember now if that is when it should arrive or when they are sending it. Oops. I'll check again tomorrow. (The website only lets you check once per day).

I thought it only updated once a day but you could check as much as you want?

And no again for me

I think once you actually have a real status, you can only check once per day. Today, when I got an actual status update about a check, I got the message about only being able check once per day when I tried to log back in again.

My status changed this morning to let me know that I am eligible (so they must be using the 2020 return), but they don’t know when they are going to pay me yet.

So, I checked my status again today (and paid attention this time). My paper check is due to be mailed, not received, on the 26th. So, it's looking like the beginning of April before I get it. That's fine for me, but still weird that they didn't just direct deposit it.

Got mine 3/11 and I will be putting it toward a bathroom remodel. Since I have to refinance due to the divorce, I'm getting a little extra out to replace the 3x3 fiberglass shower with a 3x6 tiled walk in shower, I'll use the stimulus to redo the bathroom sink and counter. So I guess I will be stimulating.

I swear, "Payment Status - Not Available" is the worst, most aggravating status message ever designed.

It means that your payment hasn't been processed yet. Or it means that something went wrong. Or it means you're not getting a payment.

But they won't tell you which it is, leaving you to guess and hope.

I get that one. I hear more will be this next Wednesday. Not sure why its Wednesday only. Worries me as this is the way the first one went that took forever to get. Second one popped right in and I was thinking this one would . Guess not.

1st stim. The site always said unavailable or something. I didn't get it deposited until card were going out. A long ass time.

2nd stim. It was deposited so fast I never got to check the site.

3rd stim. This time its saying unavail again and no deposit. So it could take a long time...for no good damn reason. If the 2nd could arrive in days this one could too.

4 weeks of furlough and and 1.5 month of 50% pay rate drove my wage down mightily and reduced my tax burden by a bit. though the 4 weeks of furlough came with unemployment whose taxes had to be paid. That plus taxes from being WFH retail investor in 2020 ultimately made my refund/tax burden about the same but the paperwork was whole lot more complex.

Due to my wife's new job not knowing how to do payroll we owed about half of the new stimulus check. I knew it was coming so it all worked out.

Pro tip nobody knows how to fill out the revised w4 that Trump created. It's a fn mess. Just do the math yourself it's easier.

The second group of checks apparently went out today.

It turns out, though, that people on disability are in a third group, and the IRS hasn't even given a date for us yet. This is also screwing over retired elderly and veterans whose income is via Social Security. And apparently congress is getting royally pissed, and the fingers are pointing to Andrew Saul (the Trump appointee running the SSA) as the person responsible. It seems that the SSA isn't turning over the information to the IRS needed to send the payments.

It may be red tape over some other issue slowing things down, but the fact is that this was one of the agencies where Trump appointed someone who was actively against the agency's core mission, likely to sabotage it.

And so, I sit, and I wait, as do millions of other people who rely on the SSA to survive, and I wonder whether this is something that's being done intentionally.

My grass is getting up there. I cant mow until I get parts and cant get parts until I get money. Its looking like at least 2 weeks. By then my mower wont be able to mow it. Im really tired of fooling with it. May simply leave it. If someone complains they can mow it then.

I have just learned that I also get a payment of 100,000 won from the Gyoenggi provincial government. So I'm stimulating in Korean! Actually I like their policy. They give the money to everyone but it is in the form of a gift card that can not be used at bigger or chain stores and must be spent within a couple of months.

So the punchline on taxes was not amusing. Not sure if the wife will let me stimulus myself a laptop.

Somehow we made considerably more money last year with me not working 7 months. The accountant said had she filed earlier, we wouldn't have qualified for this last stimulus.
