Re: Tapatalk upgraded
It seemed to take some time to post.. Not sure if the old problem is back or if it's just been awhile since I've posted in that stupid app.

Using Android 4444: quick post works fine, but reply mistakenly reports a failure to connect to server. (The reply posts despite the msg, so this is a low- or no-priority item.)

I see my avatar in place of others in quoted responses. In your post above, I see my avatar instead of Grundbegriff's in the quote, though I do see his avatar in his original post

Yep. Even the quicky reports a failure to connect to server... and then succeeds.

Re: Tapatalk upgraded
Faster than the stupid tapatalk support forum! Thankfully I kept all the messages from the last go around with those guys, and checked -- sure enough the code was enabled again (Not sure why they have this code in if it's known to cause problems). Anyways glad this one was resolved relatively fast.

Ok I won't have time today but this weekend I will try and find the same code elsewhere and comment it out.Grundbegriff wrote:Still happens (only?) when editing an existing message and submitting the change.

Strange, it worked for me after I saw your test worked, but it did generate a 'failed to connect to forum' error even though it did eventually go through.

Re: Tapatalk upgraded
Editing appears to hang on submit, but does eventually show up after a painful time trying to cancel out and discard the post. I think this is a tapatalk wide issue, and not ours.

Re: Tapatalk upgraded
Hi,
I lurk here quite a bit, but after upgrading to another phone, and then to the latest version of Tapatalk, I'm unable to connect to the forum at all.
I do get messages from tapatalk whenever someone responded to some of the old threads I still subscribe to, but I can't access the forum through tapatalk at all. I can access Qt3 and others without any issues.
Anyone have any idea why this is so?

Re: Tapatalk upgraded
I'm probably 10 versions behind on the plugin.. It's such a f'ing nightmare to update it, but you're right it's overdue. This weekend if I feel like tackling something absurd, shitty and highly annoying -- I'll start the process.
I really wish I understood why you guys use the plugin, it sucks compared to just the web view in my opinion.

Re: Tapatalk upgraded
Tapatalk is much faster, formatted for small screens, has push notifications, one-step photo upload/tag, unread/subscribed/participated views, etc. I really don't understand how folks prefer web view, except perhaps on a 10"+ device.

I don't know, but I've always used web view on my ipad mini and iphone (albeit it's a lot better on the iPhone 6). I really hate the tactics used by Tapatalk, every forum "Do you want to install the app?" even though it's already installed. Anyone who uses popover ads is evil!
Anyhow I'll look at it this evening or tomorrow at some point before football starts.

ya the linking/uploading pictures is a huge advantage considering that it works compared to the web browser...
