Re: Name the Game from the Screenshot, Part 4
I thought this would be caught by someone.
The game came out around the time of Outcast. It was set up on an island that was depicted in
quite a decent rendering engine. It had one of the best plots ever for a PC game in my opinion.

The Elder Scrolls Adventures: Redguard.
But if I'm right, what kind of a weird-looking creature is that?

heh.. like I said it had the one of the best plots I have ever seen and I won't like
it spoiled for someone who may still play it someday. And not just the plot, the puzzles
were awesome too. The game works great today with dgvoodoo glide wrapper and vdmsound
in XP. Haven't tried it in Vista though.
Hipolito, it's your turn now.

Re: Name the Game from the Screenshot, Part 4
I played the Redguard demo and thought it was OK until I heard the voice acting. Oh me oh my. Based on what you've said, though, I might pick it up if I found it somewhere.
I just watched a YouTube of some of the game's cinematics, and one of the commenters pointed out that the person who voiced Cyrus went on to voice the male Redguards in Morrowind and Oblivion. That's pretty neat.
Time for my game. This little lady stole my heart. See if you can guess both the game and her name.

Wizardry 8. That's Al-Sedexus.
The triangle targetting icons gave it away.

Yes, the game is Wizardry 8, but while she might look the same as Al-Sedexus, she's actually Nebdar. Oh, sweet Nebdar.

Nebdar... Nebdar...
Who's Nebdar?
Oh well. It'll be a short while before I can get a screenshot up - I have to get to the point in the game I want to screenshot.

Ah, she's a honey that only shows up for the men she fancies (and who have looked up a walkthrough to figure out how to access a certain area, practically impossible without hints).Zurai wrote:Nebdar... Nebdar...

I was about to say, wait a minute! I knew it was either Wiz 7 or 8 by the graphics, but the character was not familiar. Huh. And: I miss Sir-Tech Canada!

I don't know how hard this one'll be. I know others on this board have played it, but it's a few years old.

I believe that would be Entropia, although it looks like it might have gotten a graphics upgrade since I last played.
I remember trying to play for free for a while but after harvesting sweat to sell for a week I gave up.

Yep, it's Advent Rising. One of my personal favorite games - especially the music.

Correct!
With Age of Conan's success, I hope Dreamfall Chapters get to be made.

Big Hint: it's an underwhelming sequel to a beloved game.

Right, just like a real wolverine.
Ah, and his metal retractable claws can easily cut through hardened steel, just like a real wolverine.
Just like a real one, exactly.

Another screen from mine and a hint. It's a puzzle adventure game with a month in the title.
