What’s your favorite chat app?
I’m looking to start a group chat with some people at work and was looking for suggestions as to which app to use. I would like to use one where you don’t have to share your phone number but that’s really my only stipulation.

PC? Phone?
For the first two, I'd honestly probably go with Discord.

Re: What’s your favorite chat app?
I hate Teams but as much as I hate it, I've sure found its value in the last 18 months as I did for my company phone, which I also hate.
If I start doing Table Top Simulator, I'm going to have to get on some sort of chat/mic-ing system. Likely I'll join Discord for VOIP and drag others with me. I need to buy a mic for home PC and convince others to do the same.
Maybe I'll need to look in to hangouts.

What I’m looking for is similar to group texts. I’m familiar with Line but no one else is.

I prefer Teams to WebEx and Zoom. I use all three a lot for work.

Hangouts preferred. Only a handful of people chat with me there, most are via FB.

Re: What’s your favorite chat app?
I don't really use one much these days. But in the past it used to be MS Messenger where most of my friends were, and before that ICQ. But nowadays, it seems like chat apps are less popular and everyone is so scattered everywhere.

As a gamer, Discord seems like the one I find most useful/used.
