Re: Marvel Cinematic Universe: Phase Six
I was wondering if the end of the second season of Loki was intended as a last minute finale for the Kang character. They could certainly point to that as such if they decide to drop the Kang storyline completely.

Yeah. I don’t know when filming happened and if it was before or after the allegations came out. But I wouldnt be surprised if they wrote the ending to be a de facto ending for the character.hepcat wrote:I was wondering if the end of the second season of Loki was intended as a last minute finale for the Kang character. They can still focus on the multiverse and conflict between the timelines. If Loki is the weaver, he’s also the God of Mischef. And not above letting a few variants to torment Earth on the “sacred” timeline.

Re: Marvel Cinematic Universe: Phase Six
Loki’s final character arc provides a far more interesting character than Kang, imho.

Nope, filming ended five months before the incident in question, and there were no reshoots.

No reshoots? That doesn’t sound like marvel!

They may have decided to get rid of Majors at the end of season 1 after watching his acting style result in the destruction of all their furniture by jumping around on it in his scenes.

Since they have the multiverse changing actors will be a non issue. They can just recast and say the new one is Kang Ultimate. The Loki versions were just those specific varients. They can still do a Kang war.

The Fantastic Four principal cast has been announced.
Mister Fantastic - Pedro Pascal
Invisible Woman - Vanessa Kirby
Human Torch - Joseph Quinn
Thing - Ebon Moss-Bachrach
Those are some pretty people in the primes of their popularity. I think I like the castings (they're talented actors), but they feel a little cynical to me in the sense that these are much-loved television darlings with maximum butts-in-seats potential for their cost.
Too bad Krasinski doesn't get a shot.

I saw a commercial on late night TV. It said, "Forget everything you know about slipcovers." So I did. And it was a load off my mind. Then the commercial tried to sell me slipcovers, and I didn't know what the hell they were. -- Mitch Hedberg

Now let's just hope they don't cast Stratocumulus as Galactus again.

But I like Pedro Pascal. I hope I can suspend my disbelief enough to see him as a character who can't speak without me wanting to punch him in the nose.

Re: Marvel Cinematic Universe: Phase Six
I was really hoping for John K. as Reed. I thought he was great as him in his brief appearance in Multiverse of Madness.
FF is near and dear to my heart. If I had a comic book team that was nearer and dearer it would be the Legion, but I'm not expecting there to ever be a Legion movie. I've been wanting a GOOD FF movie ever since the first Iron Man movie showed what a modern superhero movie could do.
I mean, really, The Incredibles is pretty much the FF movie that I wanted. But I can still hope, right?

Re: Marvel Cinematic Universe: Phase Six
I didn't think that was ever an option, they made it pretty clear that the Dr. Strange appearance was a one-and-done. Adam Driver was in talks with the studio for the role but apparently that fell through as well.
I like Pedro Pascal but I'm not sure I can picture him as Reed. But then again, the previous actors that played Reed did it with so little charisma, my vision of the character is totally skewed at this point.
Vanessa Kirby seems like a good choice for Sue Storm. I never heard of the other two actors.

He's a smug, arrogant know-it-all who often skirts the line of right and wrong in order to achieve what he needs to.
He isn't always wrong, but he's never been written as likeable.

Re: Marvel Cinematic Universe: Phase Six
I changed my post while you were replying, sorry. But Stark during the Civil War series was no better or worse than Richards.
I think because I am an old school comic reader, I remember that he’s been good and bad and I don’t see him as standing out in either arena. Besides, you don’t get a lifelong friend like Benjamin Grimm if you’re always insufferably awful.

Nah, Ben is awesome. He and Sue are the saving grace of the FF.
And it was the Civil War series that finally made me so anti-Richards.

I feel the same way. I really think he could have pulled it off in a feature length film.
Plus he's been a fan favorite for Reed for a long time.
I think they might have bit themselves in the butt with this.

The internet seems to indicate that there were a lot of people unhappy with John K's performance in Multiverse of Madness.

I tjink people are just mostly sus that anyone would have a Golden Girls fetish and thus your performance is unrealistic.
