I tend to agree with that critique. Season 1 was fantastic, but season 2 got mired down a bit too much in things I thought were a little off topic from the first season. Still, I enjoyed it. But hopefully season 3 is back on course.

Whoo hoo, Upload season 2 starts March 11th!

Upload season 1 was a big surprise for me as I enjoyed it quite a bit….and I usually hate cyberspace stories.

And season 3 is up. At least the first two episodes.

And season 3 is done. Considering the MASSIVE cliffhanger they ended on, it would really suck if they didn't get a season 4.

Overall I thought it found its footing again after some missteps in season 2. They still pose some questions about what makes us...well...us...in a very lighthearted yet thought provoking manner that catches me off guard at times.

For anyone who loves Star Trek Ive discovered a show on I watch each night on my tablet.

The Center Seat: 55 Years of Star Trek

Its a documentary on Star Trek. The first ep dealt with Lucy saving Star Trek and the second was about the Animated Series. Up until last night I always though the cartoon was just a cartoon and not worth my Trekkie time. Turns out I was totally wrong about it and now must find it to watch after all these decades. It was run by DC Fontana of all people.

If you like Crime dramas, French Astrid s1 only on Prime - French with English subtitles) is a lot of fun - the actress who plays the autistic Astrid (as well as the rest of the cast, the writing and the cases) is fantastic.

Astrid, on Walter Presents, is a charming episodic procedural in the vein of Professor T . Paris police detective Raphaëlle Coste (Lola Dewaere) enlists an autistic employee in the criminal records department, Astrid Nielsen (Sara Mortensen), to help her solve cases. Astrid’s actual responsibilities are to scan in and file all of the case records, but she has a photographic memory, so she is a great help in finding patterns, for example. She is also compulsive, which gives her a keen eye for things that are out of place at a crime scene. Raphaëlle is Astrid’s opposite. She is loud, always late, a little disorganized, yet is a people person. While the concept of a crime-solver who is considered “atypical” is not new, and certainly the odd couple story is as old as time, Astrid feels fresh. The leads are perfectly cast, and it’s nice to see two women working together to solve cases.

I was actually pleasantly surprised by that first fight. You rarely see that on TV - someone faced with multiple opponents quickly hits multiple targets to stun/disable them, then focuses on one.

Although the smart move in the real world would have been to slap and run. Five vs one isn't usually a winnable fight unless there are some extraordinary skill and physical advantages in play.

Sure looked like they were staggering their attacks to me so that they approached him one after the other after his initial surprise slaps (during which they weren't actually attacking him yet). But then again, I'm not a professional roadhouse bouncer and combat specialist like yourself. Hell, I'm barely an amateur scrapper.

My only experience with fights like that are martial arts tests where you get put in 1v2 or 1v3 situation. It's just sparring but people generally didn't attack all at once. One person almost always goes first. The less experienced people actually do kind of wait and go one at a time. It's not wait until they're on the ground but they don't want to accidentally kick the other person. As long as you were able to use the first person as a partial shield for the second they'd generally take turns. If you're physically bigger, faster, and have great stamina you can last a while as long as you don't get in the middle. If you get in the middle they don't wait for each other. In this scene, they don't surround him. They all line up facing him. The ones on the outside are too far away to do anything and no one does anything until he takes the first guy out as they seem stunned that someone would hit their big bad buddy. It's not the most unrealistic fight scene I've seen. I watched Headshot on Netflix last night and it was pretty bad with the one at a time attack on the surrounded guy trope.

Tried to watch Mr. and Mrs. Smith. I made it through 2 1/2 episodes before I turned it off. I have a very vague recollection of the Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie movie and remember it being sexy and tension filled with some humorous moments. This show is not sexy, no tension, and no humor. I hated both of the lead actors by the time I turned it off.

I liked the new Roadhouse. Connor McGregor was surprisingly decent in his role and he had the best line. Gyllenhaal was good but he did not have Swayze's cool factor and the rocking mullet. Soundtrack was enjoyable. But in the end everyone will forget about this remake in a year or two.

I enjoyed the movie as well but thought Conner was terrible. Like a roided up leprachaun impersonating the George Jefferson walk. I also liked Gyllenhaals performance much more. My main complaint was that the scenes in the first part of the movie (especially the night scenes) were too dark. I'm not a big Swayze fan but liked the original quite a bit. Honestly a very good remake of the original.
