Correction. I WILL reveal who voted "YES" and who voted "NO". That's one of the signals in this game.

The sole purpose of running the votes privately through me is to achieve simultaneous revelation so one vote cannot influence another. From da Rulez Post:
As soon the moderator has received a vote from every player, the moderator will post a list, in seating order, of the players and their votes.
Anyone who has already voted and who would like to change that vote in light of this clarification may do so (just this once).

That's no reason to cry. One cries because one is sad. For example, I cry because others are stupid, and that makes me sad.

OK....

First, there was a straggler but in the course of moving from work to home (for the Big Storm), I misremembered who it was and prompted the wrong person. Sorry.

Once prompted, the straggler voted.

Election results:
Everyone: YES

President Vorret will now draw three cards from the shuffled Policy Deck. (I have shuffled the deck with Random.org. I will PM the top 3 cards to Vorret).
Vorret will privately discard one card and pass two to Chancellor El Guapo. (Vorret will PM me the two he wishes to pass, and I'll PM them to El Guapo).
Chancellor El Guapo will then choose one of those two policy cards and announce his selection in-thread (notionally "discarding" the other-- I'll keep track of the state of the deck).

Normally we'd wait for the Chancellor to post his selection in-thread. But since he notified me privately, I'll take the liberty of announcing his choice so we can move forward.

El Guapo enacts a LIBERAL POLICY!

Here's where we stand:

Final Roster
  • bb2112 <----- The new Presidential Nominee
  • Chaosraven
  • El Guapo
  • Holman
  • Molière
  • Remus West
  • Scoop20906
  • stessier
  • Vorret
9 players:
  • 5 Liberals
  • 3 normal Fascists
  • 1 Hitler Fascist
The Liberal Policy Track
  • Policies passed: 1
  • Elections whiffed: 0
The Fascist Policy Track
  • 1st Policy Passed (President investigates another's identity)? No
  • 2nd Policy Passed (President investigates another's identity)? No
  • 3rd Policy Passed (President selects the next Presidential candidate)? No
  • 4th Policy Passed (President orders an assassination)? No
  • 5th Policy Passed (President orders an assassination)? No
  • 6th Policy Passed (Fascist Victory)? No
Deck contains: 11 Fascist Policies and 6 Liberal Policies, shuffled.
Deck count:14
Discard count: 2

Action on bb2112: please nominate a Chancellor. The nominee may not be a member of the set {Vorret, El Guapo}.

Chaos is the next president and El Guapo can't be nominated. Would it make sense to nominate Holman?

No, I think we skip Chaos.

Odds are El Guapo did not have two Liberal policies to choose from, so it's likely he is a Liberal. Chaos is next. If we choose him Chancellor now and he is a Fascist, he will have two consecutive turns to screw us. If, however, we choose Holman now, then we can choose El Guapo on Chaos' turn, then on El Guapo's turn, he can choose Holman again if we like what happens this turn, or avoid him and choose someone else.

I don't know, maybe that won't work at all, but worth a shot.

Something like this?
...Admin......President......Chancellor......Enacted...
...Vorret / El Guapo...X Lib / Y FasX Lib / Y Fas...Liberal...
Administration = President / Chancellor
President = Options President declares he had
Chancellor = Options Chancellor declares he had
Enacted = Policy chosen

Unless they get unlucky cards. It's quite likely that liberals are going to get stuck with fascist only policy cards and be made to look bad. Or lie about the cards they had to play with. This could especially be true of 2 fascists are paired together and conspire about which cards they had to choose from.
