Democracy isn't about getting the best result. It's about getting what the majority votes for. Even if the consequences are unpleasant. Stupid isn't unconstitutional, and at this point stupid even looks to be electable.

If there is any justice, it's that another 4 years of Bush will force him to fully take responsibility when the dirt really starts to come out about the bad shape we're in for the war in Iraq and on terrorism. It's too bad that we might have missed the chance to fire him for his incompetence.

Unless all those absentee votes turn out to be for Kerry....
