~58%, actually.

Not likely, though.

Come on guys, you aren't losing your spirit already are you. Why is it whenever I'm on the winning side the other guys seem to give up in the 3rd quarter. Kerry could still win! I hope he doesn't be it could happen.

Interesting. MI looked...bad for Kerry.

Wayne County (Detroit, right Meal?) with 4% counted had Bush with a 2,000 vote lead.

Wayne just upped their report to 37%. Now Kerry nearly up by 100,000 in the state.

Some hope left, I guess.

Macomb and Oakland are pretty much Detroit, too:

What's in Washtenaw Co?

Heavily voting Kerry, but very preliminary there.

What's taking New Hampshire so long?

Can Kerry still win if he loses both Ohio and Florida? What would he need to do it?

There's a difference of only 6,000 votes in NH with 40% of the precincts to go. Could still go either way, I guess.

I think Kerry supporters have reason for optimism.
Everything I hear about Ohio leads me to believe that Kerry will absolutely win that state.
That, along with Kerry's victory in Pennsylvania, would put Bush in a very tenuous position.

No way does Kerry win anything if he doesn't win either Ohio or FL.

Apparently the hold on declaring FL is the huge percentage of absentee ballots from Broward, Dade, and Palm Beach Counties. People were taking them because they wanted to vote with a paper-trail ballot.

Ohio is a mess. There are people that have waited in line for 9 hours (MSNBC). The courts have ruled they can fill out pieces of paper while in line and hand them in.

Cuyahoga county has been at 41% for a while.

Summit County (Cleveland suburbs, I'm guessing) at 49%.

Lucas County (I'm thinking that's Toledo) at 46%.

Stark County, your "bellwether county" is currently Kerry 52, Bush 48 with 38% reporting.

...and then there are the "provisional ballots" that noxiousdog mentions. Those may not be certified to be counted for days and days.

50% of the precincts logged, and it's Bush 52%, Kerry 46%.

Surprisingly strong showing by Michael Anthony Peroutka, who's outpolling Ralph Nader and almost beating Badnarik. Go Constitution Party!

Trig man, whats up with your pessimism tonight dude? dont be so quick to jump off the bandwagon man, it doesnt reflect well! Besides, there is still a chance. CNN just reported that there are tons of absentees from the primarily democratic counties. I agree with you though, Florida does not look good.

So, it looks like Ohio eh? Kerry has trailed for a logn time, but people keep saying that he is due for a big bump at some point...interesting.

No but neither is Peroutka, who's listed as WI. Either that means he's from Wisconsin or a Write-In.

Nader's not showing up at all on the OH Sec State's page. He may not have qualified even as a write-in.

Anyway, don't be such a downer Edan. The Constitution Party deserves to celebrate its big day!

If Kerry loses both florida and ohio, very possible, he can force a tie if he wins NH and Nevada and wins the rest of the gore states

I fail to see how that helps him much. Do we really expect the House to vote against Bush?

Bush is now up by 320,000 in FL, with 97% reporting in. Assuming that figure holds, Kerry would have to win about 60% of the absentees' votes to take the state. Starting to look like FL is shrub's...

Last I heard was that Ohio will possibly not finish VOTING until 12 or 12:30. Because the lines were so long in The cities.
