Latino America turning leftist again!

Post by Eduardo X »

It seems that most countries in South and Central America have been voting in leftists. Does this signal a new time of Regan-esque genocide and instability?
Not according to the BBC.
It is great to see the Regan supported fascists losing their power, but the National Endowment for Democracy is still perverting elections in Nicaragua, El Salvador, Guatemala and Venezuela. The US supported a coup not 2 years ago in Venezuela.
Is this really peace? Is this a true leftist shift?
President Lula Silva in Brazil is a marxist, but his policies have been anything but. Most leftists in Brazil seem to have lost faith in his abilities to take the country out of crippling poverty, while the rest of the populace loves him.

What does this all mean? How will Bush react to these shifts? How will Kerry?
ohh and here is your rolly eyes you lost em.

It's not quite the same but I once heard NASCAR described as a bunch of rednecks continually turning left.

I'm still happy about this.
And I've been gloating about Chavez's win in the referendum as one of the biggest popular victories in modern times.
