My requisite dumb question

Post by Kratz »

If I don't make a choice for everything on the ballot, it doesn't invalidate my entire ballot, right?

Right. You can not vote for certain issues or candidates if you don't want to. I don't send my kid to a public school so I'm not voting for any of the school board members.

I heard a friend quote someone the other day: "When you have a bad piece of cake and a worse piece of cake, do you eat the bad piece of cake just because it's better than the worse piece of cake?"

Just making sure... I hadn't done this before. There were issues (local initiatives) that I felt unequipped to make an informed decision on, so rather than risk the wrong one, I chose nothing.

Thank you for answering my dumb question. :)

I sure hope it doesn't invalidate a ballot. I have never voted on everything (everyone).

Well, in this analogy, if you don't choose the bad piece of cake you may be force-fed the worse piece of cake, depending on what everyone ELSE thinks....
