George Bush, while voting today in Crawford, TX:

"I am so grateful for the thousands of people working on my behalf, praying for me and Laura."

Yes, I know he's allowed to say it, but it just rings creepy.

It does? Huh.

I guess he shouldn't be grateful than?

Anything that makes God seem partisan to one US party is creepy in my book.

Honestly, BIG SHOCK! God doesn't care either way. They're both lying, right? So therefore, God doesn't support liars, ergo, he does not care about politics in general.

Back to the quotes (an oldie but goodie):

H.L. Mencken: "Democracy is the theory that the common people know what they want, and deserve to get it good and hard."

I guess it depends what exactly he means though. I appreciate people praying for me. I am not so sure without context that he is suggesting that people are praying that he wins.

I don't know if its QOTD material, but still it made me blow spittle on my monitor when I read Atrios referring to the current server meltdown from too much election day net traffic as "The Internets Are Breaking" :D

Didn't he have a ~50 point lead a few weeks ago? OMFG!!! KEYS HAS TEH BIG M0!!11one
So far, Obama is winning 89-10. Keyes is getting getting ready to throw in the towel. He expected 500 people at his party. Only about 100 showed up!

LOL the local station here in the DC area has a couple of low level pundits doing commentary on the election. The republican pundit said "Bad news, looks like Keyes is coming back to Maryland" or something to that effect.

Even his own party doesn't like him.
