Should we just delete it(replace it with a plain white .gif of the same dimensions) for now? Cause we can do that if you'd like.

I'd prefer not. I use that link (and therefore that logo) all the time when done with a post to get back to the forum main. Now that we've got post indicators that work flawlessly (for me at least), that's an ideal way to stay on top of things when I'm sitting around in F5 mode (and on a lab computer where I don't feel comfortable d/l'ing Opera for multiple window goodness).

Speaking of which... could someone fix the intro blurb, please? I hate to complain in my first post to the new forums but this:

...does not seem to be an English sentence.

I'd suggest changing "bring us" to "come". Even better, delete "some" as well.

The changed sentence is still somewhat, erm, lacking in poetic style but I suppose the obvious idea (alluding to GG) would be considered offensive?

And with strange aeons even web forums may die

I like it - specifically because you expect it to be poetic (or Lovecraftian), and then drops you ungracefully into something mundane and geeky. Sort of like Octopus Overlords. The appeal is in its rude contrast.
