It shows them when someone’s in the room with you.

I saw someone in one of those cracked visor reports say seeing those eyes with the cracked visor must be truly frightening

It uses the eyes you scan into it when creating your look. So say if you scanned in a chimps eyes you could wear it and look like the original Palpatine
