I'm not sure I understand the question, but you can start as many characters are you want if that's what you mean. You can't use one account and have multiple characters online at the same time though.

was hoping to split the cost with my bro and he just use my account. Couldn't remember if Borderlands 1 lets you have character slots. Doesn't matter he's passing on it.

gbasden, do you still need 1 more person?

I'm in Brian, I posted over at the other thread, but I would love a 4-pack deal.

PM me with the details.

Sorry, I got sucked into a critsit at work and haven't checked back in. I still have one of the 4 pack available for whoever wants it. I'm not sure who already got in on Brian's deal, though, so PM me or respond again in the thread if you are interested.

Actually, we all jumped on the Greenmangaming.com deal for 37.50. If you haven't filled out your 4 pack, I highly recommend that route.

If you pre-order you get that 5th class free. Otherwise there is a small fee is all they are saying. Not at all sure what her skills are but she has a pet robot named Death Trap :)

Also there are 3 editions of the game. I want that box from the 3rd one but I cannot afford $150. I will just be buying the standard edition. I care nothing for a bobblehead.

Premiere Club (standard price, with pre-order)

Gearbox Gun Pack

A(nother) quality trailer.

I won't go so far as to say I am looking forward to Borderlands 2 as much as any other game this fall (or, for that matter, Football). But I won't say I'm looking forward to it less, either.

Based on how the first one was released to PC, I was actually going to hold off on a day-one purchase. However, after seeing the loveletter, I couldn't resist.

Is this supposed to make me, an AMD customer, feel good for pre-ordering? PhysX vs. no PhysX is one thing. This is more like PhysX vs. no FX.

I don't know about buying a new card but I still have my old GTX8800 in the closet that my happen to find its way into my spare PCIEx16 port.

edit: I hate you guys. Since I saw this I went investigating. If you go here they have several nvidia cards that have a coupon for free copy of BL2 with it.

That is just a link to cards shipping with free copy of Borderlands 2. They are pricey, and most of them are 'the new hotness'

Nvidia has a list of cards which support PhysX
Something older and less powerful like a 9800 GT may work for you.

If you are more comfortable under the hood, there is supposedly a patch to allow non Nvidia cards to run physx, from NgoHQ, but does it work, or if you want to install such a thing, your mileage may vary.

Welcome to the new gaming economy, courtesy of Blues News:
2K Games announces a Season Pass program for Borderlands 2, which will allow gamers to secure four upcoming add-on campaigns for Gearbox Software's upcoming FPS/ARPG sequel for a one-time advance payment. They do not provide exact details on what the add-ons will offer, but say they will all be released by June 2013, and the season pass will reduce the cost of the four packs to around USD $30.00 instead of around $10.00 each. Season passes will go on sale when the game is released in North America on September 18th and internationally on September 21st.
Day 0 DLC wasn't enough, now we're announcing that expansion packs will be bundled and sold at a discount when the game is released. This wouldn't nearly bother me as much if the game was retailing for $30, but once again, selling it for $60 and then thinking I'm going to drop another $30-40 over the next 8+ months is ridiculous.
Maybe next year, maybe no go

+1 (If I can muster up the willpower :P)

All the DLC for Borderlands were quality though (except for maybe Moxie's)... enough that I wouldn't wanted to have passed them by completely.

EA did the same thing with the Premium package for Battlefield3 - you paid upfront to get early access to the expansion packs and a few other perks.

Given the hit or miss quality of the first Borderlands expansions I think I'll pass.

I think I'm frustrated because there's zero chance of me paying $10 for DLC expansions when they are released and past experience tells me that even when they're down to $1.50 or so with sales, I purchase them and they sit unplayed -- because I've long moved on from the game. I understand they have to try and make money as well as increase shelf-life but I can agree with the path that Warlock decided on (lower initial price) more than this. I would also hope that when the "season pass" is officially put on sale, they do detail what the four DLC packs would offer. But to just hand them $30 for unknown "bullet-point" descriptions? That's a hell of a risk (IMHO).

I will more than likely get it, I thoroughly enjoyed all the DLC for the first except Moxxie's. But with a good group even that one was fun.

I bought Premium for BF3 and I have no regrets.

Not only do you get a slight discount on the XPacks but you also get preferential treatment in the queues, special "premium-only" achievements" and a few other perks. Nothing game-breaking but enough to make it worth the money.

I haven't looked into it but is Gearbox giving you anything other than the DLCs? If not then funk that.

I bought Premium because it gave me perks that are otherwise unavailable.
