A couple of folks from the old BIOS Nascar racing league (Jeff and Rich) have been talking up iRacing over at GWJ, and it's been enough to peak my interest in racing again.
I'm joining as well.
It would be great if we had a core group of folks who race together. I know there are number of people here who are into Sim Racing.
iRacing is a subscription based service (pay per month, like MMOs). There is currently a promotion of the first 3 months for $12. Price after that depends on how long you subscribe for.
For $12, I'm willing to give this a shot, see how it works, and whether it's worth paying for to continue.

Re: iRacing
I joined late last year and quit early this year after my three months were up.
The level of racing is very high there, but so is the cost. What really annoys me is that everything requires money there to unlock.
It was also about that time when Gran Turismo 5 came out, so my attention was probably diverted as well.

Re: iRacing
I just signed up 3 months for $4.78 with one of these promo codes.
It's almost as if people are the problem.
