But are you voting no to more gambling or are you voting yes to a gambling monopoly?
I am voting no to the current system where casinos are sleeping with local officials to get casinos put in unlikely spots. I think Romulus is next in line for a reservation casino that is not looking to pretty for the area and I am pretty sure the voters of Romulus didn't want it there. I also think that the state has done a pretty miserable job of holding the three Detroit casinos to their word. I have yet to see any ground broken for permanent hotels and casino facilies on the river front.

I suppose I should be glad for the later, though. It has caused me to stop spending any of my "disposable" income at the casinos.

Then, Karl Rove farther down the page, claims Bush has "momentum" and is going to win easily

Yeah, nice try Karl, except his momentum is heading him straight out of the White House...

Do you really think that Fox News has Kerry up by 2 points? Or do you think they are trying to scare Republicans into voting? :)
And in banks across the world
Christians, Moslems, Hindus, Jews
And every other race, creed, colour, tint or hue
Get down on their knees and pray
The raccoon and the groundhog neatly
Make up bags of change
But the monkey in the corner
Well he's slowly drifting out of range

I voted!

Pretty painless, only took 40 minutes. The funny thing about it is that they ran out of "I voted" stickers, so I got a "I KID VOTED!" sticker (they have a fake vote for little kids to participate in and learn the election process.)

I voted, and i voted kerry of course.... or should i say i voted against bush. I also voted against the Gay discrimination amendment (Or sanctity of marrige act if you like to color your hate in pretty shades) here in my state.

I was kinda surprised by who was at the polling place. Most of them where young adults 18-25. there where at least 300 people at this little bitty church. i was also amazed at what kind of young people where there. I saw a group or 2 of frat/sorority people (this is a college town.) however there where an overwhelming amount of people you would not expect to vote. I saw a group of kids mabey 10 strong all gothed out, looking like they are on thier way to a manson show. mabey 20 or so hippies, and other stoner types, as well as an abundance of general young slacker type people. Kinda makes me happy really.

When confronted with offensive TV, the fundamental differences between the Conservative and liberal factions becomes blatantly obvious. Conservatives will piss and moan, then file a complaint with the FCC in an attempt to make sure the offending show is never seen by anyone. Liberals... well we just change the damn channel.

That's illegal isn't it? Don't they have to give you two hours to go vote?

I can't speak for all 50 states but that's not true federally.
