Re: WW Game with Quirks - Sunday Night

Post by Remus West »

The village passed a quiet night listening to each other sob and bemoan their fate...all due to a simple bird landing in a tree. As the sun rose over the village they arose from their beds with dark shadows under their eyes one and all. As they approached the great oak they noticed that the bird still roosted within it's upper limbs. Beneath the tree there simmered a large cauldron oozing a sweet aroma into the morning air. Lassr rushed forward with a happy shout of "Hot breakfast! Hot damn!" Grabbing the ladle next to the pot he scooped forth a large helping of the soup only to drop his bowl and the remains of his dinner at the same time when he noticed Newcastle's eyes looking up at him from the broth. There was no sign of the rest of Newcastle's meat but several large bones lent their marrow to flavoring the vile mixture.

Newcastle had been killed and there was certainly evil among them.

It is day.

11 vote 1 leaves 10 Monday
10 lose 1 makes 9
9 vote 1 leaves 8 Tuesday
8 lose 1 makes 7
7 vote 1 leaves 6 Wednesday

Standard 3 strikes
-------------------------------
6 lose 1 makes 5
5 vote 1 leaves 4 Thursday (Loss if only 1 wolf found)

------------------------------
Figure with 3 wolves, 1 seer, and 8 villagers the seer gets decent odds across Sunday, Monday, Tuesday for that wednesday vote.
"Where are you off to?"
"I don't know," Snufkin replied.
The door shut again and Snufkin entered his forest, with a hundred miles of silence ahead of him.

I feel the need to say a few words for Newcastle. He was a good fellow. Bright and cheery. Kind of like the rays of sun shining through the cloud illuminating the cobble stone path. His ray was cut short. The poor soul passed on, on this Dies Martis ii Junius MMIX. Let us celebrate this dear soul of ours every Dies Martis ii Junius MMIX. Rest Mr Newcastle. Rest in Peace.

An old lion lay sick and waiting for death to come. A wild pig set upon him and gave him an injury in repayment for an injury received. A cape buffalo also came and gored him with his sharp horns. An ass witnessed the lion's inability to protect itself and proceeded to butt the lion with his head. "It is one thing to be attacked by the brave and the strong, but to suffer the indignity of being attacked by an ass is like dieing doubly bad.

Assumptions that can be made:
1) Newcaslte wasnt a wolf
2) They were afraid of newcastle
3) They didnt kill me because I tend to get myself killed, plus with me saying newcastle was doomed, it reeks of frame job.

Possible suspects:
1) Grund: Good evil guy, decent day 1 target if you think he might live.
2) Sean: He addressed me without saying: "My Superior Semaj"
3) Lassr: Great day 1 target, didnt die, instead it was newcastle.
4) Everyone else... I am way too lazy to actually see who is playing... You all are suspects, except newcastle, whom I would normally miss, but since he was a panzy, it's noticeably less annoying here. So Good job wolves, can I make a few recommendations for the next couple rounds?

I'd like to ask that people take note that they don't need to make every post in line with their quirk.

It may help the game a tad, for instance, if we asked Theohall to actually say something meaningful, other than just his quirky need to echo everyone's post (for example).

Yes, it would help if we all said something meaningful. Unfortunately, I have nothing meaningful to add other than the obvious - Newcastle was not a wolf. :P

Assumptions that can be made:
1) Newcastle (vice Newcaslte) wasnt a wolf
2) Newcastle scared them wolfies
3) They didnt kill Semaj because he talks to much and tried to frame himself (he's a wolf maybe)

Possible suspects:
1) Grund: Good evil guy, decent day 1 target if you think he might live. Grund - a wolf??? But he's got that pink scarf.
2) Sean: He addressed me without saying: "My Superior Semaj" - and he's the quietest amongst us.
3) Lassr: Great day 1 target, didnt die, instead it was newcastle. - What? Lassr???
4) Semaj: who conveniently framed himself then used it as an excuse.
4) Everyone else...everyone is playing :) - making it really difficult to assess.

Ah theo... apparently you forgot last game... or game history, where Lassr pretty much was 3 for 3 on who the bad guys were. And had a streak of dying really really early because he is quite the threat when allowed to live.

Simply put the bad guys are trying to kill whom they think are the biggest threats day 1. Thier other option is trying to frame someone else. No I don't think newcastle being killed was a framejob against me. They dont need to, I am always a suspect because I am so damn scarry as a bad guy. I'd be afraid I was bad if I didnt know better. My style of play lends itself to seeming wolfish. Still, it doesn't make me a wolf and this time, like so many others, you are wronger than a priest window shopping at a grade school.

I, uh, "forgot" last game... and game history? What history? One game where you are right and I was wrong does not history make - just ask Unagi.

Lassr was 3 for 3 on who bad guys were doesn't mean he will still be as lucky - especially with quirks added.

Yes, simply put the bad guys are trying to kill whom they think are the biggest threats early, not just Day 1, like always. You're clearly not a threat, because you are a wolf. :p (or so I suspect).

Still, it doesn't make you a wolf this time?? Why so defensive? And why the need to point out the early defense of the frame job when all it does is draw unnecessary focus to you?

I do have a high opinion of myself.... But I'd like to think you all know sarcasm.

I'd like to think I'm enough of a threat to merit a possible frame job, but it would seem a waste to use it on me of all people. Still if you want to argue this through, by all means, yell at a wall for a while. I have work in 20 mins.

You're fixin' to lynch a player who is capable of holding up the game?
Y'all haven't thought this through....

I'd also point out that Sean did indeed post after the roles were sent out, and has posted nearly as much as a couple people.

Let's compare Austin to Sean:

Sean: Monday @ 3pm, Post about lynching Semaj.
Austin: Monday @ 7pm, Posts about mice.
Austin: Tuesday @ 4pm, Posts about mongoose
----NEWCASTLE FOUND DEAD---- Tuesday @ 10pm
Sean: Wednesday @ 1am, Posts about being poked by Lassr
Austin: Wednesday @ 7am, Posts about a lion

There is more to this game to post counts...

This is Austin playing it cool.

With that, there is now the "safe lynch" (ie. Sean didn't cry "Seer!!") play in place, so perhaps he is our best Day 1 move now?

Well, I'm a "safe" vote, in that right now is when we can most afford to thin our own herd looking for the wolves. Lynching me won't net us a wolf, but it will narrow down the pool. I really don't want to leave on the first day, but if it helps the village, so be it.

Is there now really a "safe lynch" play in place?

This game does not have a "protector" other than dead people voting on role-playing, so why would one scream "Seer" so early only having one known scan unles the Seer scanned a wolf? All that does is make the Seer a target for the wolves during the upcoming night turn. Once the Seer has more than one scan and something meaningful, coming forward might work. The problem still lies in protecting the Seer from the wolves.

In this case, squealing SPECIAL, makes one a target for the wolves with the hope the dead will protect you.

He's at n-1.... What's to stop a wolf from putting that last vote on him and silencing his one scan.

A seer's scans work two ways. Providing us a list of 'trusted' is GOLD.

No. I seriously doubt that Sean, as the Seer - would sit at N-1 votes and tell us all it's OK to silence him.

It's not about protection, it's about brain dumping. And 1 seer scan is better than none.
