Installing games to an external SSD

Post by Darkstar One »

Was debating buying THIS SSD to use as an external:

I know that some people use them externally without an enclosure. Is an enclosure really necessary? If so, could someone please recommend one.

Also, exactly what kind of cable do I need for connecting to my PC--what kind of cable for the best speeds? Again, if you could recommend one it would be great.

Thanks!

Necessary? No, not technically but they do provide protection, better looks and would solve the cable issue. If you are just looking for a USB adapter, pulled this from another post:
