It's the kitchen island from our old house. I use it in my office to give me more cabinet and desk space.

I like that there's a flamingo on the door. Let's you know what to expect when you enter the room.

The four outside, no masks and no social distancing. For shame!

Yup, also for giraffes. Long necks I guess? Anyway it gives my wife ideas of what to buy for me, which is where all those items (and more) come from, like the flamingo mask.

That flamingo on the door is part of my birthday haul. My birthday is on the 28th of September. Several years ago I started telling my wife how I don't have a birth day, I have a birth month, all of September. That got a lot of eye rolling at first, but I gently persisted year after year.

Last month however, it all paid off. On September 7th I found a present waiting for me. On the 14th, two presents, including the flamingo on the door. On the 21st, three presents :D and on the 28th four presents and a couple of cards. And just to top it off, on the 30 I got a present with a label that indicated it was for the last day of my birth month :D. It pays to be gently persistent

I tried to get close to a huge pelican for a photo today.

I got to within about eight feet and the bird was fine with me until I (being annoyed at fogging up my glasses) removed my mask, when it suddenly bolted and flew away.

Used to toss the remains of filleted fish into their mouth in Florida. Those guys could really eat. Also they are a larger bird than people think. When their beaks snap it makes a dull THUMP THUMP snap sound. Never wanted to get bit.
