KC’s dominance in this second half has been impressive.

Trickery! It may be too late for the Titans but it makes for an interesting game.

And that's it. KCs drought is over.

I think the Chiefs have made a statement with these last two wins. Both opponents jumped out to good early starts and yet KC shrugged them both off. It is very impressive. Not only that, but both wins involve them scoring a lot of points. Whoever plays them next not only has to contend with their ability to come from behind but also with the knowledge they'll need to score 30+ points to have a chance.

Only 45? The over looks like a sure thing in that game.
I think it ended up at 53. Still a winning bet. Packers + 7.5 not looking so good.

I never heard of Raheem Mostert before, so I looked him up on Wikipedia. Wow, this game must feel incredible to him after his 'claimed off waivers' path in the NFL. He's the man now.

He's been on 7 teams, and he's ours now!

Shanhanan and Lynch has turned this team around in short order. I was nervous before the game. Everyone was saying oh the niner's will do the same as they did earlier this year. I didn't think so. Boy was I wrong. Niners need to shore things up in the 2nd half, as they gave them a few chances to catch up. Can't do that with the Chiefs.

Niners strength on defense shines when they play against non-mobile QB's. Get QB's running around, the niners D will be exposed.

They will have to rely on both sides of the ball this game in order to win. Chiefs are sooo good.

Yeah, the one thing that would make me nervous if I was a 49ers fan is how they didn't shut the Packers down. It's not like they were ever in danger of losing but there's no reason the Packers should have been allowed to make it closer. They might have just been playing down to their opponent. Also, they ran the ball AND scored lots of points, which is something the Titans couldn't do.

The 49ers have been running over every team they have played this year. And they have done it using no name running backs. I think that is the most amazing part of their resurgence. Kittle is a great receiver, so they have at times been good with the pass, their defense is very good, at least the front 7, but their running game has been dominant.

Go Chefs! I want to see Andy Reid finally get a Super Bowl win.

On the flip side, with Brady mulling retirement, there will be tears from many Pats fans about the Jimmy G that got away if the Niners win a title, and tears from Pats fans always brighten my day.

I can't lose! :)

Funny, I'm rooting for a SF win so Jimmy G gets his own (and 3rd) ring. I don't understand any Pats fan that would root against him.

I'm mostly rooting for the Chiefs, though I don't really care all that much. My mom is from KC, and we spent a fair amount of time there growing up. Plus the Chiefs have never won, and my son really likes Patrick Mahomes (as I do, to a lesser degree). And I don't especially care whether former Patriots players win (especially former Patriots backups).

I agree. As a Saints fan, I want to keep Teddy Bridgewater, but if he goes elsewhere, and I'm sure he will, I'm going to root for him like crazy.

Slight nitpick: they've won once, in 1970 (Super Bowl IV). It would be pretty cool for them to win their 2nd on the 50th anniversary of their only championship.

There are unsurprisingly a lot of Chiefs fans here in St. Louis and a friend I'll be watching the SB with is a big Chiefs fan, so I guess I'll be rooting for them. I don't really care that much, though; I just want a good game.

Fair enough. Still less (and less recently than) the 49ers. And in general in Super Bowls that the Patriots are not in I tend to default to rooting for the team that has won less recently.

I adopted the Chiefs as my second favorite team 2 years ago. Considering the Texans are doing everything in their power to be a disaster, I'm super excited about having another team to cheer.

My rooting interest means I will check the final score and go "huh." I don't watch games after the Patriots are eliminated. Don't see the point. That might change after a few years of missing the playoffs.

I don't think anyone's getting their panties in a bunch for a QB who went 6 of 8 for 77 yards. Against the Vikings he was 11 of 19 for 131 with 1 TD and one INT. For the playoffs he's 17 of 27 for 208. That's roughly a quarter for Mahomes. Thus far he's' been a lot more Trent Dilfer than Tom Brady.

That's fair, plus the game is after your bedtime. I'll often watch like 20 - 30 minutes of conference championship games that the Patriots are not involved in, if I'm at home during that time (didn't this year). But the Super Bowl is it's own social experience.

Though this year I'll be on work travel that Sunday, so I expect I'll wind up watching the Super Bowl with another attorney in our office plus our expert witness in one of our matters, which should be thrilling.

Don't disparage the man who has the second most receiving yards by anyone over the age of 40. He's right behind Jerry Rice.
That sound of the spoon scraping over the can ribbing as you corral the last ravioli or two is the signal that a great treat is coming. It's the washboard solo in God's own
bluegrass band of comfort food. - LawBeefaroni

On the flip side, with Brady mulling retirement, there will be tears from many Pats fans about the Jimmy G that got away if the Niners win a title, and tears from Pats fans always brighten my day.

I can't lose! :)

I will say that Patriots fans in general are semi-irrationally attached to Garoppalo, as "the one who got away".
