Real Genius

from the wiki:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Real_Genius
Production:

To achieve the house filled with popcorn for the film's climax, the production team popped popcorn continuously for three months...

The dorm in the film is based on Dabney House at Caltech, and Caltech students served as consultants and played extras in the film...

The Rocketeer

There's a scene where one of Eddie Valentine's thugs is eating popcorn while watching the Rocketeer and Peavy make their getaway, and there were scenes at LA landmarks the Griffith Observatory as well as the Ennis House, which was recreated for Neville Sinclair's Hollywood home. Oh, and they blow up the Hollywoodland sign by dropping a flaming Neville Sinclair on it (spoilers.)

Oh, they also showed Grauman's Chinese Theater during a flyby shot.

Diner (if you don't remember the popcorn scene, you never saw the movie)
Spoiler:
Mickey Rourke's character bets his friends he can get a very devout Christian girl from the area to put her hand on his penis on the first date. His friends happily accept, dismissing the task as impossible. Rourke takes the girl out to the cinema, and buy popcorn. He cuts a small hole in the bottom of the popcorn receptacle and places his member inside the box. The woman reaches in to grab popcorn and places her hand on his penis, winning him the bet.

Winner, since the popcorn worked its way into the wager.

The Omen, with the safari park scene that was filmed at Windsor Safari Park (somewhere I visited many times myself as a wee nipper).

Hair.

Filmed in Central Park, there’s an LSD scene with Berger tripping out.

Green Card
Brontë Parrish (Andie MacDowell), a horticulturalist and an environmentalist, enters into a sham marriage with Georges Fauré (Depardieu), an illegal alien from France, so he may obtain a green card.
...
When Brontë's parents later arrive at the apartment for an unannounced visit, Georges pretends to be the handyman.
