[movie] Deadpool 2

Post by Daehawk »

Ya waaaay early but have to start sometime.

I dont really have any new news on DP2 but I do have some DP3 news....yep DP3 is already going to be a thing and will probably introduce X-Force. Fox is in love.

http://www.ign.com/articles/2016/11/09/ ... he-x-force
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the studio is so confident in the comic-inspired franchise starring Ryan Reynolds that it's already planning a Deadpool 3 and is getting ready to begin its search for a suitable director.
In addition, the outlet's sources claim the story of the film will incorporate the X-Force. This isn't too surprising given Reynold's comments earlier this year that his next priority is getting an X-Force film off the ground.

The X-Force comic has a more mature tone than X-Men, and centers around a team of superhero mutants led by Cyclops' son from the future, Cable. Deadpool 2 is set to introduce Cable, and conflicting opinions over who should play the character was one of the reasons Miller left the project.

I just saw the first one a few days ago. It was pretty funny, although more violent than I like and the villain was kinda underwhelming. Better than the usual Marvel formula, anyway. I'll add the sequel to my queue when it comes out if the reviews are good, but I'll watch it by myself. Deadpool was too over-the-top for Wife.

We had things come up for both Deadpool and Star Wars and saw them a month late with either no one or 3 other people in the entire place. I have to say that is not the way to see it. It really ruined a lot of the fun and enjoyment being alone like that.

I had the same problem with Star Trek Beyond. It was weeks...well right before it closed...that I was able to be able to go. I skipped it completely instead of having less fun with just us alone there.

Hope I get to Star Wars quickly this Dec. If I go.

I don't mind at all having a theater to myself. Not one bit. We tend to do to dinner theaters now instead of IMAX or larger screens, so we get to eat, drink, and watch in relative comfort. My wife claims a pitcher of Angry Orchard Hard Cider makes any movie more tolerable, so we've been going more often. I don't drink, so I get to be the designated driver and get to enjoy my movies well-fed and sober. Win/win.

It's on HBO, so I finally saw it last night. I was amused. Wife liked it, but was busy with her phone and missed much of it. I'm sure I'll see the sequel some day.

My brother in law and his wife are always watching tv and movies while on their phones. Talking to them afterwards about anything we've all seen is an exercise in frustration.

Deadpool 2 gets new director

It's David Leitch who directed John Wick. I have high hopes for this choice.

I was pleasantly surprised when this showed up right before our showing of Logan. It almost looked like it part of Logan and I was like WTH? Although the one in the theater was shorter and had no Stan Lee.

I loved Deadpool and this trailer but thought him laying on the ground with the poor guy at the end was a little too much. I would have ended with him looking down, "oh you're not going to walk that off" and then just have him walk away, muttering to himself about phone booths and such.

Except that IS Deadpool. He is the one who always crosses that line of "a bit too much". I may be going to hell but I had to chuckle when he swiped the guys icecream.
Well do you ever get the feeling that the story's too damn real and in the present tense?

Just a quick blurb... Deadpool to be in X-Factor movie

I didn't even know that talent show had a super group :P
In an interview with Deadline, X-Men series producer and writer Simon Kinberg revealed that both Deadpool and Cable will play some role in the X-Force film. Though, Kinberg didn't share how big of a presence both characters will have in the movie.

"We are working hard on New Mutants, Gambit with Channing Tatum, Deadpool 2 and the new X Force movie where Deadpool is alongside Cable and other main characters," Kinberg said.

It was recently reported work on X-Force has been moving along, and that both Joe Carnahan (The Grey, Uncharted) and Ryan Reynolds himself have been co-writing the script. Nearly a year ago, Reynolds said making an X-Force film was his top priority. The actor also wants the movie to follow in the footsteps of Deadpool and Logan and have an R rating.

Well here we go. For the part of the super pale black haired Domino they have cast a black girl in the part. Zazie Beetz . I really didn't think Marvel or Ryan would go the PC route and ruin a beloved character but I guess they aren't above it. I like Domino more than Harley.

Oh dont start...you know if someone like Black Panther suddenly turned white there would be a huhah over it. Stand up for characters. Its who they are.

Wolverine is not Mexican, Black Panther is not white, Rogue is not Indian, and Domino is not black. This is about the characters we grew up with and have known them as over our lives. I know you like to make it a race hate thing with me but look at it. Its the characters. I dont want anyone playing stuff they aren't. Its not the character. But go on write what ya want. You like that. Cant wait to do it. Wont stop me from liking characters as who they are.

And no I wouldn't want another race to play someone like Chuck Barry or Buzz Aldrin wither. Can you not say the same?

Dude, stop! Just... stop. You're embarrassing yourself. Skin color isn't a character trait, and you know it. We can all see that this isn't about character traits, and that's why you're being told to take a look in the mirror.

Meh, Alexander Hamilton wasn't Puerto Rican, but that turned out OK.

A core feature of the Deadpool canon is that he exists in a multiverse. The movie is obviously taking place somewhere in the subset of realities where Domino is a black woman. Big whoop.

The only thing that disappoints me is that they still haven't recast Deadpool himself. I think that's a role that Scarlett Johansson was born to play.

Id be fine with her playing lady deathpool..because there is one. Also a dog and kid and others. But not THE Deadpool. And you shouldn't either. There..I just told you what you should think. Same thing Im always told.

Seriously you'd take a female Deadpool? Im not sure where some of you are born and what strange ways your home has.
