[Movie] Spider-Man: Homecoming

Post by Grifman »

This the new Marvel helmed Spidey flick, and there's interestings news on that front - RDJ has signed on to appear as Ironman in the flick:

I love the cross overs, it's makes the Marvel universe seem so much more organic and real.

From everything I'm reading, Tom Holland is fantastic in the role. I can't wait to see both Civil War and the reboot now.

I just got really sexually confused. Why am I getting aroused by Aunt May?

Why do you think Spidey is shooting long sticky ropes around his room every night?

Trailer has been shown at the Brazilian comic book convention. Apparently, the new suit has web-wings.

Small dorky teenager can shoot webs and is super strong and you're worried about the drag while swinging?

Yeah, looks less like "RDJ has signed on to appear as Ironman in the flick" and more like, "RDJ has signed on and will get top billing in the flick." Unless the trailer footage is the only parts he's in the film, he looks more like a co-star than a cameo.

Not really of a superhero fan, but I saw the trailer for this. Why does the spider costume have a spider button to cause the costume to fall apart? Would be a shame if, you know, it got bumped in the middle of a fight. And by shame I mean wonderful.

I'm guessing that is a Tony Stark special option. Should be interesting to see what else Mr. Stark has ins store for the wallcrawler.

Because it is designed by Tony Stark.

I watched the trailer. It's nice to see a Spiderman who doesn't look like he's 30 for a change.

Or is Peter Parker no longer supposed to be a teenager? It's been decades since I read the comic.

It's his third origin story so back in Highschool where it all begins.

I got uncharacteristically excited when I saw Peter in the Scarlet Spider suit.

I haven't read the comic in over 40 50 years. Is getting the suit from Tony Stark canon now?

It's canon for the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Stark met Peter in Captain America: Civil War and gave him a suit.

Also, Tony made him one in the comics during the Civil War run. Though Spidey was way out of high school by then and it was far from his first suit.

Not my favorite design:

Loved the trailer, has a real sense of fun, which a Spider-Man movie should have. Keaton also looks menacing as the Vulture. Looking forward to this.

You're tired of Spider-Man movies when Sony says you're tired of Spider-man movies!
