movie - Guardians of the Galaxy vol 2

Post by Daehawk »

http://www.ign.com/articles/2016/02/12/ ... whitesnake

The very first shot from filming posted by Gunn who also says ""In the words of the great poet David Coverdale, Here I go again." "

So will that favorite Whitesnake song make the movie soundtrack? I hope to hell it does. Should fit too. I owned that cassette in 87 and played the heck out of it just for that song.

The entire first side of that album rocked.

Discussing album sides makes me old.

Cool to hear from a fan. People seem so jaded and hateful to Whitesnake.

More new cast
Tommy Flanagan is the latest actor to join
He'll join Kurt Russell, Pom Klementieff, Elizabeth Debicki, and Chris Sullivan as newcomers on set. Flanagan's involvement was first reported by Heroic Hollywood and later confirmed by Variety sources. The Sons of Anarchy actor will reportedly play the "right hand man of Yondu Udonta." Udonta, of course, is the leader of the Ravagers.

Growing up, my neighbor had a step sister that would come and visit during the summer. She hated the visit, and would spend most of the week or so she was around in a lounge chair on the front lawn in a bathing suit with Whitesnake blaring from a cassette player. So yeah, add me to the group of people that like Whitesnake. :D

The feathered look of hair metal was an affront to those of us on the cutting edge of coif craft back in those days. It was the easy way out. Any chimpanzee with a comb and a kitchen knife can manipulate a mane so that is has the appearance of volume, but only a true artiste can...

...crap, you were joking, weren't you?

Nathan Fillion cameo SPOILERS POSSIBLE!!!

If you dont want to know who he plays then dont follow that link. Its in video form as well so will play when you open the page.
Spoiler:
Nathan Fillion is once again cameoing in James Gunn's Guardians of the Galaxy series, but this time we'll actually see his face.

Spoilers continue after the jump, so read on at your own risk.

Comicbook.com (via io9) posted new set photos that show Fillion will appear at least in a small way in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2. He'll be playing Simon Williams, better known as Wonder Man, though it doesn't seem likely we'll actually see him in action.

View post on imgur.com

The set photos show several fake movie posters in front of a theater in Cartersville, Ga., and the marquee above it is for a "Simon Williams Film Festival." Williams apparently starred in a biopic about Tony Stark (which is fully modeled after Danny Boyle's Jobs) as well as an action movie about Marvel Comics character Arkon, clearly inspired by Conan. He's also in a horror movie called Haxan 2 (a sequel to the 1922 silent classic with the tagline "You'll witch you never met him") and a romcom called Oh, Rebecca.

I saw that and hoped he was portraying a different character:

I'm guessing there is a ton of post-production SFX that is being worked on now. If you watched the bonus material from the first movie, they have lots of rough cut placeholder animations for them and not surprisingly it looks like crap.

The first one is one of my all time favorite movies. I love the sense of humor in it. I've watched it several times and it never gets old. Based on the trailer, it looks like the second will be more of the same stuff. Can't wait.
