Christmas/Wishmas Gift Giving - 2019 Edition

Post by Grifman »

It's getting close to that time of year again - the annual OO Christmas/Wishmas Steam Wishlist Giving. I think a lot of people enjoy this so I thought I'd start it up again for 2019. Just post that you are interested and I will add your name to the list in this post. I would also ask that if you receive a gift, give a thanks to your giver in this thread.

PARTICIPANTS
Grifman
Blackhawk
RMC
JetFred
stimpy
Lassr
Formix
Skinpuppy
coopasonic
hitbyambulance
Isgrimmur
Jaddison
Stefan Stirzaker
Suitable Ironic Moniker
Noxious Dog

Here is the link to spreadsheet where you can add your name and the number of gifts you have given/received so we can track who has and hasn't received anything. I will keep the current list of names but bold those that have signed up for this year. If you are new to this process, please add your name and relevant data to the list and bold your name. At some point, I will delete the names of any that have not signed up.

Wishmaslist

Have fun and Merry Christmas (or whatever holiday you prefer to honor)!!!

Note 1: Apologies for not getting to this sooner but I've had a bad cold for 3 days now where all I wanted to do was sleep or veg out watching TV. Didn't even play any games during that time, I felt so bad.

Note 2: I will also make a post in the EBG thread because some people noted last year that they missed this because it was posted in there instead of this thread. But this will be the primary thread.

If you can add your Steam data to the spreadsheet, that would be helpful.

OK, but is everybody keen to waiting until The Sale is ACTUALLY in effect?

I couldn't jump in until then last year and there had been so much previous activity that I felt that the ship had sailed already.

I wont be in it this year. Been a fun....is it 4 years? 5? It always made me happy to be part of it. Last year I didn't think I could do it but my little wife got together $20 to toss at Steam near the beginning of December and I got to do it one last time. Not only do I not have it this year I just don't feel it this year any longer.

So you guys have fun and be well.

Oh, just asking for a friend.
Most people just wait until the sale kicks in unless they find something on someone's wishlist already on sale, or just want to give regardless.

So, I don't assume anything, so is this a "yes" on your part?

I always figured that was the assumption. A few people jump the gun, and more power to them, but I'm a cheap bastard.

There's no timeline, you give when you are ready to give. I think most people wait for the sale, but there's no time requirement regardless.

Couldn't find RMC on steam (no link in the sheet), sent friend invite to Suitably Ironic Moniker as I can't see his wishlist and Stefan Stirzaker link saysprofile can't be found.

I now have over 15,000 festivity tokens! to spend on discounts for games for myself!

Thanks to JetFred for the upgrade to Deadlight....guess I will have to install it and play it.

I think if i live to 200 AND stop buying games I might be able to play them all for at least an hour.

FWIW, I generally assume that people sort their wishlists according to their own priority ranking when doing these things.
