MHS and I did go out to Vegas at the beginning of the month and got some poker in. Got to see the Mecca of modern day poker at Binions Horseshoe (she scored in a tournament there, I took some money from the regulars at the cash game table), and we played in some micro tournaments (< $100 buy-ins) and cash game tables at Mandalay Bay, Planet Hollywood, and Excalibur. MHS cashed in 3 of 4 tournaments (winning one), I cashed in 2 of 4 tournaments (winning none), and combined with my cash game play (usually waiting for MHS's tournament scores!) I managed to never leave a poker room in the minus. Not too shabby a trip. :)

Oh, and it was great because MHS and I made an agreement that for any tournament on the trip that we both entered, we'd share 25% of the profits with each other. Since she kicked ass in the tournaments (and I only held my head above water), I ended up an additional +$42 on the arrangement.

Came back from Vegas and got pretty sick. Other than our home game in the middle of December there was zilch for playing. Our plan is to head up to the local casino this afternoon, however, so we will see if it's like riding a bike or if we've gotten rusty.

For those just reading the post above this one for the first time, I've changed things up in the linked page a bit to better address my goals.
